The Pink Garden — Restaurant in Si Lom Subdistrict

When you come to Thailand and you start eating in the restaurants you realize very quickly that food here is more expensive than you expected it to be. Thai street food is priced cheaply but Thai restaurant food is expensive.

During my stay in the next-door hotel I frequented this food court because the food here was an expensive, tasty and there was a wide variety of choices.

Firstly, because of the extreme heat here between 90° and 100° on average I came here to drink smoothies and Thai tea made in one of the stalls regularly.

I frequented 3 other stalls for their rice, meat, pasta and mixed al la carte plates.

Between 50 and 90 Baht is far more attractive that the restaurants which are priced 100- 300 Baht.

There were a few things about this food court that annoyed me. The first was that it is under tents outdoors so there are flies often flying around and landing on food.

First, know going in, this is a fairly rustic, canopied outdoor space, so it can be stuffy and hot... But if you're not expecting a "dining room" experience, Pink Garden has a lot to recommend it, with a series of stalls and kiosks ringing a nice, clean table area offering a nice variety of Thai and other cuisines for very reasonable prices. We tried pork noodles without soup (yummy melange of ground pork, wontons, and fish balls made to order), several kinds of bao-style buns, and fried chicken rice. I used to go here almost daily as I was studying to be a gemologist and the school was here in the U Chu Liang building.

This is your good street food vendors and vey very cheap.

They survived the plandemic which I am happy to see as they are inexpensive and good food.
