The Hive Hotel Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Very nice hotel with swimming pool and restaurant/bar right on a wonderful area of Lamai beach. Not really crowded at all (last day of July 25). Rooms (we had ground level and I recommend) are facing a garden behind the reception, pool and beach, just 45 seconds walk really. Included buffet breakfast was a plus, really nice and varied (continental, Asian, nothing extraordinary but anything you might want) The main street behind the Hotel site is very central (still, not the most hot and central part of Lamai) but you will find a couple of good restaurants and a seven eleven right there, very close. Personel is perfect, kind and professional. I will come here...

It with great surprise and regret that I post this review. Whoever their new Burmese staff is with tattoos and shades needs proper customer service training. He spoke to me like a criminal and with absolutely no manners at all. He spoke like a gangster. I totally respect if they have policies but there is a nice way to speak to customers whether or not they are from the restaurant or the property. He was extremely rude and didn’t even listen to the fact that I used to come there all the time the whole year I lived on Samui. The manager was apologetic but he was full of high ego. Decent room size, but great location on lamai beach. Rooms are clean and first floor offers balconies with great view. This hotel has a private pool which is really clean and is beach view. And this hotel is very quiet and peaceful.

Beach feels as if it is a private beach of the hotel, it is really clean but not recommended for swimming as the waves are a bit aggressive.

Hotel also has a great restaurant which gives a spectacular view of the pool as well...
