The Wood Steak House — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

With many options in the area, I decided to give the Wood Steakhouse a try. They had many dinner specials available and I opted for one of their surf and turf platters which was priced competitively compared to neighboring steak and seafood restaurants.

When it arrived at my table I was shocked at how much food there was! I had a whole fried red snapper, steak which was cooked a perfect medium rare (ask for medium if you want it medium rare which is pretty standard for most restaurants in Thailand I find) and also pork ribs, a chicken leg, two shrimp, corn, potatoes, gravy, and bbq sauce! 🤤🤤🤤

The gravy and bbq sauce were surprisingly good and paired perfectly with the chicken and ribs.

Everything tasted great and was a great deal for a pretty epic surf and turf feast....

Was looking for somewhere on my last night, with 2 kids with us, choices can sometimes be difficult, but wide choice made it easy to decide on this place.

2 of us had Pizza on special, and 2 had Thai food.

Was the best pizza I’ve had in Thailand, and there was NO food left for any of us.

It’s also one of the busier restaurants, and the service was exceptional, the manager walks the floor and checks all is good. The only very small problem for me was road noise, but when you choose a restaurant on the main road for a party town you have to expect it can be a little noisy.

Will come back again next trip for sure. As we all enjoyed, and was very reasonably priced.

Dove into here to escape the torrential rain while out looking for somewhere for dinner. Didn't have expectations of fine dining as it doesn't give that vibe, so i'm probably being a bit more generous with 4 stars instead of 3. Ordered the T-bone steak which was okay but ordered medium as usually things are less well cooked here than I'm used to and glad I did as would say it was rare which didn't help for a very grizzly steak.
