Happy Duck House — Restaurant in Suriyawong Subdistrict

Had my breakfast there this morning. I was casually walking past and then I was greeted by the young gentlemen. Seeing that it was hanging a braised duck I thought why not try it. So I did and enjoyed the duck noodles very much, the duck meat was tender the offals were delicious and clean tasting. The soup has a nice herbal hint to it and not overpowering.

Overcharging tourists! On the English menu there is nothing about the costs of an egg. I ordered and she asked how I wanted my egg. So I was assuming the dish comes with the egg. Then she charged me 20 bath for the egg. I said it's not on the menu. I saw it on the Thai menu for 10 bath. It's not much difference but it is the intention that is not good and that...

Good taste, nice sauce and well braised duck. For me, found it overhyped.

The portion is tiny.

Minus points for being overcharged by owner, even if it's 5 baht. You know your menu for years, is it necessary to try and get 5 baht more from a 'tourist'? I usually tip anyway but not when the owner behaves this way.
