I recently dined at Feng Zhu, a cozy little stand that specializes in delicious dumplings and noodles. Despite having a small menu, the food here is absolutely incredible.
What I loved about Feng Zhu is how each dish is prepared with such care and attention to detail. Every dumpling is carefully crafted, with perfectly seasoned filling and a tender, chewy wrapper. The noodles are soft and chewy, and are served with a flavorful sauce that perfectly complements their texture.
Feng Zhu serves one style of noodles and four different types of dumplings. Which dumping is the best? The answer is, of course, a matter of personal preference. Some may argue that one type of dumpling is all they need, while others may find themselves completely polyamorous when it comes to dumplings. Still, I would highly recommend trying each of the four dumpling varieties at Feng Zhu. You may just discover a new favorite.
As I enjoyed my meal at Feng Zhu, I had a revelation that the simplicity of the restaurant's menu is a metaphor for life. We don't always need a lot of variety to be happy - sometimes, having a few things that are truly excellent is all we need. Just like how Feng Zhu focuses on perfecting just a few dishes, we can focus on perfecting just a few aspects of our lives that bring us the most joy.
Overall, I highly recommend Feng Zhu to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal and a reminder that sometimes, it's okay to be monogamous with something you truly love...
Read moreVery unfriendly. The lady who is in charge of order counter is very rude. None of the staff looked welcome. There is no English menu or even a proper menu so people who don't know Thai or Chinese can point to order. If you want to order you need to write on their order paper form which is only in Thai and Chinese. We came there to try the food not to take photos but we found ordering was not so accommodating so we decided not to. My friend got the habit to snap some quick photos of any new place we visit. The order counter lady saw that and when she saw we would not order she told us in clear English that "next time order first then take photo". Sorry ma'am there will be no next time. Instead of telling us that she could've just said "What do you want to order" I'd have happily ordered a bunch because that was our main intention and that I know now I could order in English. But no. So...
Read moreLittle stall just off the river in Talat Noi. You go up to the stall and point at what picture you want. I pointed at the noodles, and she gave me the option between spicy and black sesame. I got spicy but I honestly reckon the black sesame would have been more unique. The noodles were quite nice, however, they were cold. The service is SUPER fast. There are very few drink options (Chinese herbal tea), but the 711 is pretty close by. Outdoor seating no fans or ac. Feels very hip and hawker stall vibes. 100 baht is...
