Donita Thaifoods — Restaurant in Thanon Phaya Thai Subdistrict

First time here, and glad to say we had a pretty good meal overall.

Some dishes were flavourful with a good kick of spice. The menu had plenty of options — almost too many — and we had a hard time choosing! Thankfully, most of what we ordered turned out well.

The standout was the sotong with curry — done nicely with great flavour. The tom yum soup was also a hit: intense, rich, and just the right level of heat (we asked for extra spice). The pork omelette wasn’t too bad either — simple but satisfying.

Unfortunately, the fried rice was a major disappointment. The flavour just didn’t land at all, and we had expected much more...

Visited this place twice in one week that I was in Bangkok, and had been here multiple times in the last 10 years. The food is so good and affordable!

Their seafood tomyum soup with milk is one of the best I ever had, and their standard is super consistent. I have to have this everytime I come to Bangkok!

The pad thai is too wet and sticky for our liking, but the flavours were on point!

Had the somtam (papaya salad) to-go and it was really addictive, though it was abit too spicy for us even after we requested for less spicy already.

Had Pad Thai with Tofu (80 baht) and while it was fairly cheap, it was not edible whatsoever. Tofu was basically raw and the whole meal tasted like oil, completely missing the usual sticky sauce. Didn’t come with nuts either. Had MUCH better food for less money. Sitting there was uncomfortable as there were several kids playing about 10 different videos/songs on full volume which neither the staff nor parents cared about. Would definitely not recommend eating here and do not understand the many...
