The Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Bangkok, particularly its 81st floor, offers a unique experience with stunning views of the city. The hotel itself is one of the tallest in Bangkok, providing guests with a panoramic view that is hard to match.

The 81st floor features a restaurant where you can enjoy a variety of cuisines, including a seafood buffet, Thai street food, and international dishes.

Guests have praised the breakfast on the 81st floor, especially the option to dine on the balcony, which offers a breathtaking view of Bangkok.

The rotating observation deck on the 84th floor is another highlight, providing a 360-degree view of the city. However, some guests have noted that the hotel can feel a bit outdated and crowded, with complicated elevator systems that can be confusing.

The premium dinner buffet on the 81st floor is also a popular choice, though some guests have mentioned that it can be challenging to navigate to the restaurant due to the need to change elevators multiple times.

Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience of dining with such a spectacular view is highly recommended.

In summary, the Baiyoke Sky Hotel’s 81st floor offers a memorable dining experience with incredible views, though it may require a bit of patience to navigate the hotel’s layout. If you’re looking for a unique way to see Bangkok from above, this is definitely a spot to consider.

From Central Bangkok:

BTS Skytrain: Take the BTS Skytrain to Phaya Thai Station, then transfer to the Airport Rail Link and get off at Ratchaprarop Station.

Taxi or Tuk-Tuk: Depending on your location in central Bangkok, a taxi or tuk-tuk ride can be a convenient option.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK):

Train: Take the Airport Rail Link (ARL) from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Ratchaprarop Station. The journey takes about 28-31 minutes and costs around ฿35-451.

Bus: You can take the Line 551 bus from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Victory Monument, then walk or take a short taxi ride to the hotel. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around ฿29-401.

Taxi: A direct taxi ride from the airport to the hotel takes about 22 minutes and costs between ฿270-3201.

Shuttle: There are shuttle services available that take around 22 minutes and cost...

Bangkok Balcony Buffet at the 81st floor of Baiyoke Tower – where the food is plentiful, but the dining experience feels more like a school cafeteria on a field trip.

Let’s start with the atmosphere: think less "elegant rooftop dining" and more "high school lunchroom with a view." The place is packed with people, making it feel like you’re at a buffet in a shopping mall food court rather than a fancy tower. It's great if you’re into food that never runs out, but if you’re looking for a peaceful dining experience, this isn’t quite it.

Now, the food – oh, it’s everywhere. It's like they told the kitchen to just keep it coming. The options are endless, but I wouldn’t exactly call it fine dining. More like food court variety – if you’ve ever eaten at a mall buffet, you’ll know what to expect. That said, if you have a huge appetite, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

And let’s talk about drinks. There was an all-you-can-drink sugar rush with every beverage, from sugary sodas to fruit juices that were basically liquid candy. However, if you were craving something not full of sugar, prepare to pay extra for water. Yes, you heard that right – you can sip on all the sweet drinks you want, but if you want a glass of water, be prepared to open your wallet. Priorities, right?

Finally, exiting the place was an adventure in itself. It wasn’t just a walk to the elevator – no, no. It felt like trying to escape a maze. I half expected a clue to pop up asking me to solve a puzzle before I could leave. Finding the exit was truly a test of patience and perseverance.

In conclusion, Bangkok Balcony Buffet is definitely an experience, but it’s more about quantity than quality. If you’re after an adventure, sugary drinks, and an endless supply of food court-style meals, this is your place. But if you’re looking for a relaxing, fine-dining atmosphere... well, you might want to try...

We initially booked the outdoor. But it rained, so we were moved to the indoor. Although we missed a better view, the experience was still great. I can say that international premium buffet at 81st floor of Baiyoke Sky Hotel is more than just a meal - it’s an experience that combines global flavors with breathtaking views of Bangkok’s skyline (from the insider's perspective). The moment we steppedinto the buffet hall, we were welcomed by an impressive variety of dishes that truly live up to the “international” promise.

The buffet featured an abundant selection. The selection was impressively wide. It offered everything from fresh seafood on ice - succulent prawns, oysters, and mussels - to classic Thai specialties like spicy Tom Yum, flavorful curries, and perfectly grilled satay. For those craving global tastes, the buffet extends to Japanese sushi and sashimi, Italian pasta and pizza, and hearty Western roasts. The balance between local and international cuisine makes it easy for diners to explore different flavors in one sitting.

What stood out was the freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail in presentation. Each station is well-prepared, inviting guests not only to eat but to enjoy the artistry behind the dishes. And of course, the dessert corner deserves special mention - ranging from delicate pastries and tropical fruits to rich cakes and ice cream, ensuring a sweet ending to the feast.

But what truly elevates the experience is the breathtaking 360-degree view of Bangkok’s skyline. Enjoying world-class dishes while gazing at the city lights from the 81st and 82nd floor makes the meal...

We recently returned for our second stay and decided to try the highly recommended international breakfast buffet. While the panoramic view from the 81st floor was undeniably stunning and offered a memorable start to the morning, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. Although many of the dishes appeared to be freshly prepared, they lacked depth in both flavor and texture. The Indian selections, in particular, had an off-putting taste, reminiscent of food that may have been reheated or left out for an extended period. There was a decent variety, including soups and Thai noodles, but an overwhelming sweetness seemed to run through many of the offerings—something that didn’t align well with traditional breakfast expectations. Of all the items available, the fruit selection stood out as the most enjoyable—fresh, well-presented, and a reliable choice amidst an otherwise underwhelming spread. Considering the premium price, the buffet did not quite meet the standard one might expect from such a prestigious venue. Service was generally courteous, with most staff members being pleasant and attentive. However, some of the chefs behind the live stations appeared disengaged and somewhat unapproachable, which detracted slightly from the overall atmosphere. In summary, while the setting and view are truly exceptional, the breakfast buffet itself falls short in both quality and value for money.
