We visited Saxophone on a Saturday Night around 11:30pm and the place was someone full. We found a table at the back of the pub and weren’t able to see the band so we asked to be moved closer whenever a table open. The band started playing around midnight and they opened up with a jazz number with great energy. We were lucky and two sits opened up right in front of the band. I assume that If you get there early you can sit around the band which is a great feeling as you have them feet from you. We had two beers, two cocktails and fried pork. The cocktails were ok(what you would expect) and the dish we had was flavorful. Our bill was around 1,200bath ( 10% Service Fee is included) so I would say this place is for all budgets. A beer is around $130 , so you can still have a fun time And some beers. The band was great, full of energy, and entertaining towards the end of the set. (Enjoy the video I uploaded) Also, there are tables outside (good place for smokers) where I assumed one can have a drink and through the glass window can still enjoy the band.

This is super hard because the diet time I went here I loved it!! Second time I brought a expat group of people, no recollection I even called him on the Wednesday before November 26. No problem. Even after proving that I booked and reserved Nov he 9, they gave my spot to someone who booked a week before Nov 26!! We don’t have your reservations, who did you speak too? Can I see proof? Yet still we need to give you the spot nearest to the men’s toilet. Apparently they had no copy of my reservation and regardless they wouldn’t move reservations for.. so that is how the evening started … we all loved 🥰 the place and will go back but the service was rude this time unlike last time! We were a big group and had they paid attended to the fact I was being around 20-25 people they would have been staffed accordingly! The food was also very mediocre and one of my friends didn’t even eat the food it was that horrible!! Mine was ok! As I had the fried snapper!! We closed the bar down and headed to Khao San road!’ Music is great, service was as good as it gets and the food isn’t good

I had high expectations for Saxophone Pub & Restaurant after reading so many glowing reviews and even extended my stay to experience it firsthand. The venue truly has a vibrant atmosphere, with its warm ambiance creating a cozy setting for an evening out. While the night featured a solo guitarist/vocalist, the intimate performance brought a relaxed vibe to the evening. The sound system, though not perfect, didn’t overshadow the pleasantness of the live music. The snacks were simple, more reminiscent of casual street-style fare, which might appeal to those looking for a low-key bite. The seating, while not the most comfortable, adds to the authentic, laid-back charm of the place. The staff, though busy, maintained a calm presence, which helped create a casual, easygoing environment. While the experience didn’t fully align with my personal preferences for food and live music, I believe Saxophone Pub has a certain appeal for those seeking a relaxed, no-fuss night out in a lively space.

Great atmosphere, food, drinks and music! We ordered a couple of cocktails and some appetisers, both were good. I didn't like some stuff but my sister liked it so that was alright lol The bands this night were great, a little too loud but very nice and enjoyable music. Reasonable price for nightlife kind of place in the city. Service was ok but the staff looked very grumpy and irritated, especially the doorman…I think there were too many staff there, most of them were just standing around doing nothing, hovering over tables (ours included, it made me feel a little uncomfortable, like I'm being watched) and were kind of blocking the flow traffic within the bar and customers' view of the band. We didn't get very good seats (somewhere in the corner) so we couldn't see the band, but maybe we could have gotten good seats if we had made a reservation. I mean… we did show up pretty late… so that's our bad… Would visit again, if the staff were less grumpy and less "hover-y"…

A tightly-packed pub with a comprehensive cocktail menu, and accommodating food menu for its patrons. The music is the main attraction here, though. Featuring multiple acts every night on a stage centered in the pub, at least half of the available seats have a clear view to the musicians that play here. There is a second floor with many seats that overlook the shows, and there are staff enough to both keep an eye on troublemakers and stand ready to service your dining experience. The weekend seems to be the busiest, making it difficult to get a table or seat with eyes on the performances, but if you stay long enough you might be able to move into view of the show should you not initially have one. If you're not into jazz or blues you might not want to come here, but I always tell people you don't know if you like jazz until you've seen live jazz; and the true spirit of jazz is alive and well here at the Saxophone.
