When we're looking for an Italian restaurant in downtown, I usually choose between Via Emilia and Il Bolognese. Both places are ideal for spending time with loved ones, offering a private, quiet, and pleasant atmosphere where you can truly enjoy your meal.
This time, I chose Il Bolognese for dinner with my family (3 people). We ordered three dishes: Portobello Salad, Parma Pizza (Fresh Cream Cheese), and Tenderloin.
Portobello Salad: The Portobello mushrooms were grilled to the perfect temperature and paired with sausage, which complemented the flavors well.
Parma Pizza: The pizza had eight slices—too much for just three people—but it was delicious. That said, I prefer the same menu at Via Emilia, as their pizza dough is softer. Still, this was an enjoyable dish overall.
Tenderloin: This was the highlight of the meal. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the tenderloin was soft, juicy, and packed with flavor. At 200 grams, it might feel small for some, but it was just right for us. Highly recommended!
Tiramisu (Dessert): Personally, I love ending an Italian meal with tiramisu, and this one met my expectations. The mascarpone was fresh and creamy, and the sweetness was well-balanced (though my family thought it was slightly too sweet). I ended up finishing it all myself—it was that good!
The price is on the higher side but within expectations, ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 THB, depending on what you order. The service was excellent—warm and attentive. Staff members consistently recommended dishes, checked for feedback, and replaced plates between courses, which I consider a hallmark of great service.
In summary, Il Bolognese remains my go-to Italian restaurant. Booking is straightforward and usually available, the dishes are consistently delicious, the service meets high standards, and the price is reasonable for the experience. I highly recommend this place for family dinners, memorable moments, or celebrations. It's perfect for those seeking a private, cozy space to enjoy good food and quality time...
Read moreThe food is indeed delicious, but please be cautious if you are a Chinese speaker. We were kicked out of the restaurant by racists. I’m writing this to raise awareness for other guests who might be considering a visit.
If you speak Chinese, it doesn’t matter where you’re from—just speaking the language can make you a target. One of the men actually tried to come at us physically after I looked at him for a second too long. It was only because his friend held him back that he didn’t attack us. I was about to go back inside and confront him myself, but my girlfriend stopped me—literally pinched me hard to hold me back.
The situation was deeply hostile, and it felt like things could have turned violent at any moment. Please be very mindful of who’s around you. These people carried a strong and unsettling sense of malice.
The ones who discriminated against us were middle-aged men with greasy hair, who appeared to be regulars at the restaurant. It makes you wonder if this kind of behavior is tolerated or even overlooked there. Restaurants should consider putting up signs against racial discrimination—or at the very least, make it clear that such behavior is not welcome.
Or, you know, just go ahead and ban anyone who speaks Chinese—maybe the atmosphere would feel more “comfortable” for you that way. (Just kidding… kind of.)
😂 如果你會說中文要小心,不要說中文可能會被旁邊的人打,請說英文或是泰文在好一點請在你的頭上標記你的國家出處或是貼上你的國旗在臉上,以免受到不必要的種族仇恨波及
Please review the surveillance footage from March 23rd between approximately 18:52 and 20:00. The man with greasy hair appeared once again, this time accompanied by a child and his mother. He was clearly making gestures that strongly suggested he wants to kill someone. For the safety of your restaurant, please take this very seriously. There is a real and imminent danger that he may attempt to kill someone inside your establishment. It seems that anyone speaking Chinese nearby could become a target. This is extremely disturbing and should...

We started with a selection of cold cuts, which were of the highest quality and beautifully presented. Each bite was a delightful taste of Italy, perfectly seasoned and fresh.
