FuramaXclusive Sathorn Hotel – 3.5/5 Stars
FuramaXclusive is an older hotel, but it does have its positives. Here’s my experience.
The Good: Location: Very convenient, located near Chong Nonsi BTS station. There are cafes, a supermarket, nail salons, and massage places all nearby. Spacious Rooms: I booked a deluxe room (the “lowest” tier), which is still quite spacious at 34 square meters. It’s nice to have room to move around. Friendly Staff: The staff are experienced and made up for some of the hotel’s older hardware (peeling paint, wall paper). They were polite and attentive during my stay. Reliable WiFi: I worked remotely during my stay and had no issues with video calls. The connection was stable and fast. Decent Amenities: Water pressure and heating were good, and I was pleased that the hotel noted my request for a non-smoking, high-floor room. The Not So Good: Check-In Delays: I arrived at around 1:10 PM, but the check-in process was slow. Although check-in officially starts at 2 PM, it would have been helpful to have more than one staff member on duty to handle the influx. It took about 15-20 minutes just to process the family ahead of me. Room Variations: The hotel has several types of "deluxe" rooms, which can be confusing. The room I was initially given had a strange layout – a huge floor space with a kitchenette, a wardrobe placed awkwardly, and a large TV on the desk, which left little room to work. While spacious, it didn’t have a bathtub, despite having enough room for one. Room Switch: I requested a room with a bathtub and was offered options on lower floors (Level 3 and 4). I chose Level 4, as Level 3 is near the gym and pool and has a noticeable smoky, musky odor. The new room had a smaller layout but did include the bathtub I wanted. However, it lacked the microwave and extra floor space from my previous room. Inconsistent Room Features: The higher-floor deluxe had a larger space, a microwave, and a kitchenette, while the lower-floor deluxe was smaller, with fewer amenities. Both rooms had large TVs that took up a lot of desk space. Bathroom Space and Mosquitoes: The shower area didn’t have enough space for toiletries, and I noticed mosquitoes or flies entering from the bathroom. I ended up buying a room repellent. Dripping condensation from the air conditioner. Bed was allegedly a KING, but turns out it’s two singles placed together. The duvet was actually meant for single bed. Did I mentioned that there was construction going on as well?
Final Thoughts: Despite the older hardware and the mixed experience with room variations, I was generally satisfied with my stay. The staff's friendliness and the hotel's amenities, like the communal microwave in the lobby, made up for some of the drawbacks. Just be sure to clarify your preferences when booking, especially regarding room amenities. Overall, it’s a decent choice if you're looking for a spacious room near BTS and are okay with a bit of...
Read moreThis hotel does not deliver what it promises. Let’s start with the rooms - they look nothing like the staged, polished photos shown on their website or booking platforms like Agoda or Booking.com. Expect to be disappointed if you’re expecting the same experience. What you see online and what you get in person are two completely different things. To me, that’s false advertising, plain and simple. They also can’t move you to a “better” or more accurate room, because those rooms don’t actually exist.
Now, to be fair, the rooms I stayed in were clean and the service was okay. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful, but their English communication skills are limited, which leads to a lot of misunderstandings.
On one stay, I paid for a guaranteed early check-in (offered during the booking process), but when I arrived, the room wasn’t ready because another guest had checked out late. I don’t understand how a guest who checks out late can cause an issue for someone who paid extra to check in early. If you take money for a guarantee, you should deliver on it.
The newly renovated dining area is a disappointment. It’s smaller than before and can’t handle the number of guests during breakfast. In July, guests were asked to sit in the meeting room across from reception because there wasn’t enough space. That’s not acceptable for a hotel claiming to be “posh” or “boutique-style.” It’s clear that closing off part of the area to make extra business income has come at the cost of guest comfort.
The pool area is a positive point. It’s clean, well-maintained, and a nice place to relax after a long day. However, having to walk through the smoking floor to reach it is unpleasant and frankly disgusting.
As for the so-called “kitchen” area in the rooms, it’s misleading. The website mentions a “pantry with kitchen utensils and cutlery,” but in reality, there are none. What you get is an old kitchenette setup with a sink and a fridge. The stove doesn’t work, there’s no microwave, no utensils, and definitely no minibar. Just a kettle with tea and coffee.
The location is one of the few real positives - it’s close to public transport, and within walking distance of Silom and Patpong Night Market.
In short, this hotel markets itself as something it’s not. There are better options in the same price range nearby. I’ve stayed here twice and that was enough. For my 2026 trip, I’ve booked elsewhere. I wish them well, but unless they make real changes, nothing...
Read moreFuramaXclusive Sathorn||8.5/10 Hotel in most sides, I will suggest for sure||Say at the beginning: After I booked this hotel, I found so many bad reviews on Google, so I'm afraid a bit. But after I actual stay there I found that this hotel just GREAT. And then I re-check the bad reviews here and have some finding. Seems almost all the bad reviews, is from some Mohammed countries, or from a large south-asia country. Yeah such comments can just ignore.||This hotel (FuramaXclusive Sathorn) almost fill all the top scores in many sides IN THIS PRICE RANGE (this is important). And some very basic deficiencies is not the fault of the hotel itself.|E.g. the Location. Yes it is just 2 mins to the Chong Nonsi BTS and just 1 station to the famous Sala Daeng BTS/Silom MRT. I think most tourists stay there because Patpong/Silom zone? BUT if you are coming for this you may not stay a hotel need to walk for a whole station long. And you will not take 1 station BTS to go/back to the hotel. But it is still good because Chong Nonsi BTS can direct go to Siam or Saphan Taksin without switch.||Staffs: Just great, they are in my top 3 staffs I meet in so many years in Bangkok. I don't know why some bad reviews about bad manner or rude staffs, yes maybe they are exist but I never meet, or they are not longer there anymore I don't know.||Room: 9.5/10 in this price range. Far exceeded my expectations, of course don't compare to some 8000 baht rooms. Clear and large and well design, you feel comfort. No noise at all even I found that they have some tour bus at morning but hear zero noise. Hot water need a bit time to come (whole Bangkok hotel same same). Large balcony and no "observers" looking directly into your room.|Two minor issues I need to say about the room:|(1) The aircon is "too cold" -- yes I complain "AC too cold" in a swamply city, because the aircon design is direct blow to the bed in very close.|(2) There have many lights in the room but no one can be night light.||Breakfast: Good enough, not amazing but not bad either. And something very good is they also sell ice creams and drinks in very cheap price (also same as 7-11). Good to buy some ice cream at the hotel door to back to room when you come back from the hot...
