Ok guys here’s a story for you. I am on vacation with my boyfriend in Bangkok. We decided to go to this establishment to eat dinner considering the reviews. The food was decent and reasonably priced. However, upon finishing dinner we decided we were going to find a massage for our tired legs. The head waitress of the restaurant was very pushy and said “ok ok I’ll call my friend tuk tuk. I don’t remember the name of the place but he’s nice trust him he’ll take you“. We let our guard down and decided to trust this woman. We get on this tuk tuk and this man takes us on a 20 minute wild goose chase across Bangkok when he was just going to take us up the street to silom area. We finally demanded to be dropped off as the area continue to get sketchier and more unsafe . Overall, wouldn’t recommend this restaurant place to anybody if their staff just wants to trick you. It is vile and unprofessional. It’s wrong to take advantage of naive tourists who make up a massive portion of this countries economy.
Edit: Thank for the detailed reply, Kurissara. We understand that you did not have poor intentions with the TukTuk situation. We were concerned for our safety and needed to find another transportation after getting off, which frustrated us. The driver did not properly tell us where he was taking us prompting us to end the ride. We have left Bangkok for another city, but will be returning next Friday and will try to contact you at that time. We sincerely appreciate the apology and would definitely highly recommende this restaurant due to your response to the situation and how good of an experience it was bedsides the TukTuk ordeal. The food and service was...
Read moreOutstanding food and one of the friendliest restaurants in the world. I have a peanut allergy and they went out of their way to ensure my dish wasn't contaminated by peanuts, which was very nice of them. What blew me away is that after I'd finished, they provided a complimentary bowl of Thai chicken and mushroom soup, because they thought my de-nutted chicken and rice in pineapple wasn't enough! (Trust me, it was 😁.)
And the soup was gor-geous. The rice/chicken/pineapple was very tasty (and very Instagrammable if you like that sort of thing, which I do) but the soup was out of this world. Full of galangal and lemongrass and lovely Thai spiceness.
Bowled over by how lovely and generous the staff were. Just a shame that I was too full of amazing free soup to try the...
Read moreFound this place by just searching 'Thai food near me' on our first night in Bangkok which was a Tuesday. Funny since we're in Thailand haha. When we got there it was not crowded and we were seated right away. We chose to sit outside with a view of the street. They turned on the standing fans to cool down the humid Bangkok air which was nice. The menu had a large selection. The beverages were awesome, both alcohol-free and the stronger stuff. I had the fried sea bass with fish sauce and it hit the spot! They had nice popular music playing and our 1 year old daughter really enjoyed this. Besides the great food, the staff deserves a big kudos for their professionalism and exceptional hospitality. 10/10 would...
