KUA — Restaurant in Wat Phraya Krai Subdistrict

Cute, quaint, Chinese x Thai restaurant with a modern twist. Walk-in only and arrived on a weekend around 7pm and waited for about 40mins — we left our number and chilled at a nearby Starbucks — was it worth it? Nah.

There are only only 2 types of main dishes : stir fry noodle or pan fried & baked noodles which was the better choice. Taste wise this place is mediocre. The chicken was a bit dry and beef was too tough but the fried baked noodles was well made. It wasn’t oily. Fermented Lime soup was a bit salty but interesting. Chinese Gailan had too much roux — think that’s the style 🤷🏻‍♀️ The little crispy dish is fried lard ! 🐖

Prices are decent but given the location guess...

🍳ร้านอาหารไทยสไตล์จีนที่เน้นการใช้เตาถ่านเป็นหลัก ด้วยความที่ร้านชื่อ “คั่ว” อ่ะเน๊อะ เมนูเค้าส่วนใหญ่ก็จะเป็นแนวคั่วๆผัดๆในกระทะจนหอม และแน่นอนจานซิกเนเจอร์ของร้านก็หนีไม่พ้นก๋วยเตี๋ยวคั่วไก่ แต่ของที่นี่เค้าจะไม่เหมือนร้านอื่นตรงที่ตัวเส้นเค้าจะทำออกมาเป็นแพๆ แล้วเค้าก็มีให้เลือกอีกว่าชอบไข่สุกหรือไม่สุก รอบนี้สั่งแบบคั่วอบมาจะเป็นแบบไข่ไม่สุกและเส้นจะมีความกรอบมากกว่า สามารถสั่งท็อปปิ้งต่างๆเพิ่มเองได้ด้วย แต่ถ้าใครชอบแนวเส้นเหมือนพวกผัดซีอิ้วก็ต้องจัดผัดงอแง เมนูชื่อดังจากซีรีย์ Hunger นะ 😆

ในหมวดพวกข้าว ขอให้สั่งข้าวหมูคั่วไข่แดงเค็มพริกสดไข่ดาว จานนี้ชอบมากเป็นการส่วนตัว รสชาติคือกลมกล่อมเหมือนจะดูเผ็ดแต่ก็ไม่ได้เผ็ดอย่างที่คิด ได้ไข่แดงเค็มมาเพิ่มความนัวไปอีก อร่อยมาก ส่วนสายข้าวผัดก็ต้องโดนข้าวผัดคั่วพริกเกลือเค้าล่ะ ความพริกกระเทียมชัดเจน คั่วมาอย่างหอม เลือกท็อปปิ้งโปะหน้าได้ตามใจชอบเช่นเคย

นอกจากจานคั่วๆแล้วทีเด็ดของร้านอีกอย่างที่ไม่ควรพลาดเลยคือปลาหมึกย่าง 🦑เค้าตัวใหญ่สดมาก มีทั้งหนวด ตัว ไข่ เอ็น ที่สำคัญน้ำจิ้มโคตรเด็ด !!!!! ปกติไม่ค่อยอินกับปลาหมึกย่างเท่าไหร่ แต่เจอน้ำจิ้มนี้เข้าไปคือหยุดไม่ได้เลย 😂 มันดีมากจริงๆ คอนเฟิร์ม !!

ปล. ร้านไม่มีที่จอดรถ แนะนำให้ขับเลยร้านไปนิดนึงจะเจอตรอ. ค่าจอดชม.ละ 40 หรือไม่งั้นก็สั่งเดลิเวอรี่เอา กดได้จากทุกแอพ สบ๊ายย . . 📍@kuabkk - เจริญกรุง...

Small restaurant but with lovely decor - really liked how they maintain the chinese touch to it, even with how they serve their dishes and drinks.

Main highlight was supposed to be the noodles but it kinda fell short. Normal fried noodle was better than the crispy one, crispy one soaked up a lot of oil and noodles were oily and clumpy.

However, side dishes were good. Highly recommend the fried...
