Fıstık Kebap Lahmacun — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

It cannot get any more local than this. We were the only foreigners in this eatery filled with local University students and common everyday folks. Tucked into a small street, you may actually miss it but the fun is finding it. Food's brilliant. The kebabs are decent but what's really yummy is the Lahmacun and the Iclı Kofte (Turkish meat ball) . Lahmacun is freshly baked thin pita crust with a meat topping not unlike the pizza but just so much yummier. The meat ball is somewhat misnomer as its not round but you know what? Watching the chef making your pide is great as you know it's going to be fresh and it was . Great flavours a good crunch and even the butter which my wife doesn't usually take is so subtle she didn't really mind it.

Special kebab is quite wonderful and the lentil rice or I think that's what it is was really yummy with a wonderful tomato sauce through it.

Lamachun was crispy and light.

Questa trattoria al momento che scrivo ha appena 10 recensioni su TripAdvisor. Eppure anche in una città sconosciuta come Istanbul ho preferito uscire dal classico percorso turistico ed entrare in questo posto che si vede essere principalmente frequentato da locali e universitari. Qui ho voluto provare il Lahmacun la loro pizza (anche se secondo me ci assomiglia più il pide). Il lahmacun è una pita rotonda che vi ricorderà la pizza per la forma. Sopra tendono più che altro a metterci carne macinata e formaggio a differenza nostra ma troverete tanti altri gusti. Unico neo non essendo un locale per turisti il menu non è scritto in inglese ma ci sono delle foto e potrete aiutarvi con quelle. Poi ci è bastato anche cercare i nomi del menu su Google per aiutarci se proprio non capivamo.
