Azure The Bosphorus — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

🚗 Location: We walked it here from the Taksim area - it was about 15 mins. The lounge is housed by the Metropolitan Hotels Bosphorus (very nice hotel!) and near a T1 tram station - Findikli Mimar Sinan Universitesi.

💨: True Passion Watermelon Chill x Lemon Chill in what looked like a MattPear or Union Fibonacci (not sure) with a Quasar bowl. The pipe was served using disposable (one time) hose. The smoke quality was great and produced medium dense clouds throughout the session. I had regular coal changed and the flavour was consistent for the first hour. Between the first and second hour the flavour does drop but it was a satisfying experience for me. This lounge stocks Fumari, Starbuzz and True Passion. It was my first time trying True Passion - I thought it was quite similar to Social Smoke. The lounge has other flavours (priced lower) but I wasn’t sure what those were and they weren’t able to explain to me due to language barrier. They have a two tier pricing depending on what pipe you’d like to smoke from - classic/desktop or Meduse hookah.

🎼 Music: The sound level was great to begin with but became louder to club style after 9pm. This might not be the place for you if you prefer something less vibey.

🍔🥃 Food/Drinks: Food was great! We had the grilled calf tenderloin served with baby potatoes and chickpea rice and the spicy chicken burger with coleslaw and fries. The chicken burger wasn’t spice but was delicious. The meal ended with Hot chocolate cake and Sahlep.

🧧Bill: It came to ~645 TL for 2 people.

🎎 Service: Service was excellent!

🧐 Final thoughts: Would I come here again? Yes! For the food, for the smoke and the amazing view! Highly recommend to visit at night as you are mesmerised by...

Its been 7 years of I have been living in turkey and 7 years of me being a loyal customer to this shisha and food place called Azure Bosporus!

Last night I had a very scary and almost violent experience with a manager who apparently is new to his title and has been the manager of this place for less than a month.

Me and my husband walked for diner drinks and shisha and I had my bottle of water on me which has maybe two sips left we sat down and immediately the waiter came and as I was about to drink grabbed the bottle without my permission of my table , I was confused and shocked as I needed to take my medication as a emergency and then continue the night. When I asked him why did he do that he continued to the call the manager and this is when things got very ugly.

The manager then came over and spoke in Turkish “ buradan çık“ “ sana hizmet etmeyeceğiz“ , şişeyi elimden almaya çalışıyorum. I had no idea what was going on. When I tried to talk to him and tell him please tell me in a nice way and ofcourse rules are rules I will follow them. He then continued to stand infront of me yelling at me and everyone in the restaurant looked at me. He continued to shout “ patron benim burada burası benim ülkem“ this is my country ect.

I got so scared and we immediately left and he Handed the water to me as I left and said to me my name is Ibrahim please report me. The feeling of a women in a country where I work and have been for years to come here and deal with such disgusting behavior.

The only place to come and smoke shisha in Istanbul. Great service and worth the money.

Me and my wife came here for food and shisha.

The food was very tasty. We went safe and just ordered a kofte wrap and a cheeseburger. Both pieces of meat were succulent and juicy. Fries were nice and crispy, not too oily.

After finishing both meals we were content and happily awaited our shisha.

I think this is the only lounge that offers a range of non-middle Eastern tobacco i.e. American tobacco which are REAL (fumari, starbuzz, social smoke, Azure etc.) which are optimum for the equipment they have (nice smooth pipes with heat management devices).

I ordered white gummy bear and mandarin zest, a known favourite of mine and this was top knotch. Tasted exactly how I expected, flavoursome, smooth and long lasting.

(Whatever Turkish brand is on offer anywhere just don't smoke it. It's pretty rank. Except for your original classics (apple, grape and mint). Supposedly Al Fakher is banned here... Which is usually the safe option but obviously that isn't viable.

Honestly, I don't think many nargile, Hookah and shisha lounges etc. in Istanbul have a clue what they are doing as they appeal to the masses who just accept that they're in a foreign country and "it is what it is". Only a few know what they're doing and Azure lounge know what they're doing).

My only regret is that I didn't come here sooner and ended up wasting time at Huqqa, Sky...
