Kaktüs Cihangir Breakfast — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

Our group has been in Istanbul for one week now and I can speak from all 5 of us that this is by far the best food we have had here. As a matter of fact, best food in years. Of course Turkey is known for good meat but if you would like to have a versatile menu that appeals to all tastes, you would feel right at home here. It has food for meat lovers to vegetarians to vegans. We loved everything we ordered. The falafel wrap, the beet salad were “meaty” and left me feeling very satisfied. The quesadillas were a hit too. Each of us ordered more than enough food and we paid only $60 total! There was not one thing that was just average. Everything was beyond expectations. This place is a gem that is hidden behind bushes so you might pass by without even noticing it. It’s close to the sea and the neighborhood is quaint with narrow streets. The waiter, Jenya was very pleasant and had great customer service. He worked fast. We asked if we can personally also thank the chef who was most pleasant. Great ambience too; lots of vintage decor. If you want to have some work done or hang out with friends around tasty food, delicious cocktails or a little çay, you can do it there. Go with the flow and leave Kaktüs atmosphere make you travel throughout the day. They have an upstairs space that is relatively quiet and where wifi is reliable so you can have some work done there and enjoy a very good breakfast. Cute cats may come to sit with you. Then when you feel like you want to hang out, just go downstairs and you'll find kind people, tasty food, very good music and incredible cocktails. Musical Playlist is worldwide and interesting, decoration is nice and the general atmosphere is very comfortable thanks to an incredible team who pays attention to every detail and is doing her best for you to feel comfortable while being respectful of the privacy you can need. Visited it yesterday, we tried few things and we enjoyed a burger a lot! Definitely recommend it! Fries was really tasty, and crunchy. Big portion. 4 of 5 stars for burger 🍔

Soup tasted very bouillon, I remembered homemade soup, but I didn’t liked it so much. If you like it - than you would be delighted. 3 of 5 for the soup 🍲

Pasta tasted fresh, not salty enough. Big portion though, I barely could finish, so if you get only a pasta - it would be enough to fulfil a hunger. 3 of 5 for pasta 🍝.

Overall we even asked to pack burger for take away - because it was a lot, but we felt happy.

Had troubles with paying a German card, so I needed to use another one for it cashless pay.

Waited didn’t speak well English, but we could order, there was a troubles ordering for a bit.

I don’t smoke, and when we tried to sit outside - people was smoking everywhere nearby, we sit inside instead.

Interesting design and they also have a second floor, also there some cats 🐈, feels like they are part of the place (there also graffiti on the wall).
