BO Istanbul — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

After an excessively long tour day, we were looking for a spot that was friendly to English speakers, had a solid draft beer, and local food options.

Look no further.

The staff was beyond friendly; they were welcoming and warm. They love their restaurant and were happy to help. At one point, they realized we’d inadvertently gotten the Turkish menu; we were going to make it work, but Omeer (?) realized it and ran over to get us a menu that was easier for us (we didn’t ask, he was just attentive).

The food was really good, too. I got the grilled chicken platter and you “shepherds sheet”. Solid, belly filling, and well...

As is standard in Istanbul, hundreds of fake reviews for this one.

Don't be scammed with this place. Expensive beers. Seemingly different prices for foreigners. Service charge requirement hidden in the menu. Zero service.

Unnecessary DJ that apparently hasn't listened to a new song since 2014 blasting away the peaceful atmosphere of the area.

Also, a fairly tacky design to the place, if that matters at all. Skip this, there's better bars within a...
