Divan Brasserie Fuaye — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

Divan should be and have been a symbol of quality, yet in my opinion, sometimes the service is not at its best. The staff is very kind and has good will, yet in my personal experience they have not been very attentive of what is asked of them.

Last two times that i have been to Divan, there were were ?misunderstandings?. First time, i ordered a turkish coffee and they brought the wrong thing. I did not have so much time, so i had to go without drinking the coffee. Which is OK. It happens.

But the second time when i ate a proper lunch there, it took them so much time to bring the rest of the money back after paying. They sent a young boy out of the restaurant to change the money which took so much time. Divan gave me the impression of not being a place adapted to working people who have short pauses. Otherwise, i guess, they are good when you have time to eat. Good menu. Yet the wine menu can be slightly improved. There is another restaurant in the same complex which has stunning views from roof top. AMAZING OTTOMAN FOOD, great luxury decoration ( with wonderful collection of books), impeccable service and very exciting wine menu with a good somellier.
