I recently had the pleasure of dining at Karachi Darbar, a Pakistani restaurant, for lunch, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with excellent service and a very warm atmosphere.

One of the highlights of our visit was the impeccable service we received. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and eager to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. They promptly seated us and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu and their recommendations were highly appreciated.

When it came to the food, we decided to try two popular Pakistani dishes: Chicken Biryani and Beef Nihari. The Chicken Biryani was a fragrant and flavorful rice dish with tender pieces of chicken. The spices used in the biryani were well-balanced, and each bite was a burst of deliciousness. The Beef Nihari was another standout dish. The rich, slow-cooked gravy had an incredible depth of flavors, and the tender beef simply melted in our mouths. Both dishes were served with traditional accompaniments like raita and pickles, which complemented the flavors beautifully.

To accompany our meal, we ordered the Mango Lassi, a classic Pakistani beverage. The Mango Lassi was refreshingly sweet and creamy, and it provided a perfect contrast to the spiciness of the main dishes. It was evident that the mango used in the lassi was of high quality, as the flavor was authentic and truly enjoyable.

Karachi Darbar isn’t just overpriced—it’s an outright insult to both your wallet and your dignity. Let’s start with the food: ₹600 for a "Special Chicken Curry" that tasted like a bland, hastily thrown-together dish my college roommate could’ve whipped up. The "Premium Lamb Kebabs" (₹850 for four pieces) were dry, underseasoned, and laughably tiny, as if they were rationed during a famine. Every bite felt like burning cash.

But the real kicker? The non-existent hospitality. The staff acted like they were doing us a favor by merely existing. Our server vanished after dropping off the menu, ignored repeated requests for water, and when we finally flagged him down to complain about the cold naan (₹120 per piece!), he shrugged and said, “It’s busy; what do you expect?” No apology, no effort to fix it—just sheer indifference.

Even the ambiance felt transactional. The manager paced around glaring at tables like a hawk eyeing prey, probably calculating how much more he could squeeze out of customers. When we hesitantly asked for a takeaway box for the barely-touched leftovers (why waste ₹2,000?), the server rolled his eyes and tossed a flimsy container onto the table without a word.

For these prices, I expected white-glove service and food worthy of a celebration. Instead, I got reheated mediocrity and staff who treated us like an inconvenience. Save your money—and your self-respect—and dine literally anywhere else. Karachi Darbar is where luxury prices meet fast-food vibes and prison-canteen hospitality....

Karachi Darbar was literally home away from home for us. Coming to Istanbul for the first time we got the comfort we didn't know we needed. The food here was at an exceptional standard each time we came for a meal. Everyday we had lunch or dinner here. No other place had the same quality/ perfection/ atmosphere or customer service. The staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel at home. Coming from England, we had never thought that in Istanbul we would be able to get in touch with our Pakistani roots but it was made possible through Karachi Darbars amazing food! The food ranged from the mouth watering Mixed grill to the authentic Halwa Puri Channa breakfast menu served all day! The biryani can't go unmentioned, and the curry pokora was beyond perfection. The pictures do not do the food any justice at all!! You must visit to experience it yourself! Perfect menu which caters to everyone's taste buds and dietary requirements.
