Konak Kebap — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

I can’t recommend this place. I went there with my gf. She had iskender and I had ali nazik ( lamb+ eggplants). I was totally disappointed ! It was the toughest meat I ever put in my mouth , I couldn’t even chew it properly! Besides there was almost no presence of butter or Tomatosauce on my dish. It was basically only yoghurt with big pieces of eggplant which was tasteless. No one but smoky flavor or anything else. The waiter asked me if I wanted to have a small medium or large amount of meat. To be fair I didn’t ask the amount it would cost more but I assumed it couldn’t be that much . In the end I ended up paying around 5-6euro more for slightly more meat which wasn’t edible. The Iskender of m gf wasn’t that bad but still not good. Also hardly anFlavor and we like roasted bread in iskender but that bread was just plain soft. In the end they charged us 10% tip on the bill for doing nothing but their job. The service wasn’t even phenomenal but the bare minimum and food was bad. Can’t recommend , search for other places guys. After I had stomach ache. To be fair it could be from somewhere else...

Hungry and wanted to enjoy local that exactly with typical local taste? This is one of the best restaurants we had after hunting souvenirs and shopping while taking photos at galata tower and along Istiklal. The taste of their food was superb. Great taste. Good portion. Delicious food at every bite. Nice place. Easy to spotted. Fast service and friendly staff. Fast service is definitely creteria that everyone should consider especially when you are in hurry to enjoy good food within time been given by your guide at this free time. Or when you are having few more places and things to buy while your empty stomach are grumpy. This is definitely the best place we had our lunch where the meals are served within timing we had. The staff are very friendly and helpful also provide you with the best suggestion at what you plan to have y in their restaurant. We just had dinner there and I really wish I had read the reviews or sucked it and walked the extra distance to the first restaurant we wanted to go to. We ordered 1 appetizer that we shared and each ordered a meal. The first warning sign should have been when the waiters didnt understand what we were saying but being that we hadn't eaten all day we decided to stay. When we got the "bill" and I say that losely because it was just hand written items I noticed that it was too much. We asked for a menu to double check the prices and when we questioned why the appetizer waa double the price he said because it's 2 of us. HOW do you just double the price because people are sharing but you haven't increased the portion size any? Next I noticed the price of our meals were higher than the menu and lastly that they had already decided they were getting a too and added it into our bill. The service was poor, the food wasa not good. You'd be better off giving your money to the street performers...
