Extremely unpleasant experience
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Mado in Istanbul. Upon arriving, the manager showed us a breakfast menu with pictures of all the items included and the price clearly stated. Based on this, we decided to stay. However, when we were taken to the restaurant room on the 7th floor, the staff informed that the menu shown was incorrect. They claimed that the menu was for four people and that many of the items pictured were not actually included in the meal for two persons. Despite the fact that is was clearly priced.
This felt like a deliberate bait-and-switch tactic to trick customers into ordering something far more expensive than advertised. We felt deceived and upset by this lack of transparency. Thankfully, we didn’t place an order, but the lack of transparency and honesty left us feeling upset and disappointed.
Honest communication and accurate menus are the minimum expectations for any dining establishment, especially one in such a popular tourist city.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope they take steps to improve...

I loved their tea options, desserts and breakfast. 🍳🫖🍨
Each time when we travelled to Istanbul, Mado was our lovely place to drink a cup of tea with the Turkish baklava.
But this time Mado looked super chaotic and noisy. Voices were mixed together. Loud people voices and Arabic musics😄 I think slow music would be much better for such restaurants. Because it’s Turkey 🇹🇷 and tourists want to feel the local atmosphere.
We wanted to try their breakfast agaib but it was disappointing. 😞
They changed their politics a lot also it’s totally complicated process to choose the right breakfast set. You order one breakfast but the end they charged you for two. The response was the breakfast you ordered was not for one person it was for two.🤨 So, you need to be careful at that time when you choose your breakfast.
Taste of the breakfast was not bad but I think oil they use has low quality. It touched my...

I recently visited [Sweet Shop Name] with high expectations, only to be thoroughly disappointed. The sweets they sold were clearly old and lacked the freshness one would expect from a reputable store. When I raised my concerns, the staff tried to assure me that these sweets can remain fresh for a year. This is not only misleading but also unacceptable.
The texture and taste of the sweets were far from satisfactory, and it was obvious they had been sitting around for quite some time. Freshness is key when it comes to sweets, and [Sweet Shop Name] has clearly failed in this regard.
I won't be returning and would advise others to steer clear unless they enjoy stale sweets and poor excuses. There are plenty of other sweet shops that prioritize quality and freshness over...
