You know a restaurant is good when you see the locals eating there and they are smiling and having a good time. Even if it's not fancy, it's cozy and warm. The staff is very friendly and welcoming always with a smile on their face. The grill master is coming at your table and explains you their dishes which are not too many but enough for a great meal. They serve you in the beggining a 2 small mezze which name I forgot (it's a small plate of salad with parsley, tomatoes, garlic, chilli - like tabbouleh but spicy and 4 pieces of sucuk). We chose adana kebab and chicken wings which both came with a side of green salad, tomatoes, cucumber, onion and bulgur. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! The Adana kebab and the chicken wings were cooked perfectly, juicy and tasty and spiced enough to enjoy the flavour of the meat. Bulgur was also good and the thin bread that comes along with it was heaven on earth. We took also the ayran which, trust me... it's delicious. After we finish the platters they served us turkish tea on the house and for dessert we ordered a kunefe which was one of the best kunefe I have ever tried! It was the best meal and the best time we had in Istanbul. Thank you so much for this authentic experience! Cok guzel people and cok guzel athmosphere! Best regards and good luck from the Romanian couple you had in the evening of 20...

Happened to stumble across this gem on our first night visiting the city, and never managed to receive such postive, warm service and such good food at these rates anywhere else during the rest of our time in Istanbul. Our waiter, Murat, was incredibly friendly, and attended to all our requests immediately, as were the rest of the staff, putting us at ease and making us feel at home immediately even though we had a language barrier. The complementary items were much appreciated on top of the already amazing dishes, of which we had many. The kunefeh dessert was out of this world, the wraps were hearty, meaty, and bursting with flavor, the ayran was creamy and refreshing, and the complementary Çiğ köfte was the best dish I tasted during our whole trip! The final complementary Turkish Tea was lovely, on the whole a 1000/10 experience, I already miss...
Read moreI took my parents here and we all tried different kebabs, including the lamb shish, the liver shish and the eggplant lamb kebabs. The taste was incredible, the meat was obviously fresh and high quality, and cooked very well with a variety of delicious spices. The plates had a ton of sides and colorful veggies, and they even brought extra yogurt and pickle dishes for us to try before the main course. The atmosphere was so friendly and had a real aura of authenticity about it. We finished our meal with Turkish tea and kunafa, which was one of the best I have ever had. Altogether a very lovely and homy environment, the owner was super nice and even gave us directions about how many dessert dishes to order for four people and offered to refill my dad’s tea…I couldn’t...
