Mellow Kitchen & Cocktails — Restaurant in Beyoğlu

I came here because my friends recommended, but service here is not the best.

As we arrived manager offered us the table for two that we did not like. I asked whether we can take the other table, which was just left by 2 people. He told us “it is taken”. After that nobody sat in that table and when I asked waiter why can’t we sit there, he answered that it is for 4 people (but when we arrived 2 people were leaving). I asked the waiter why did the manager lied to us? Manager then came and started to expand that he did not know that people were leaving, but it was obvious. I asked, if we could relocate to that table - he told us, that we should take the table for two.

Now interesting part is starting. After couple of minutes 2 girls arrived and manager gave them that table “for four”. I asked why?! So here everything started. He told us we can leave. Then water arrived and told me how should I speak. Turkish is not my first language, but he started aggressively talking to me. And again reminded me that we can leave.

Second star only for the fact, that food was ok.

Highly not recommend you come here, as people are looking at your appearance and judgementally give you not so good places.

Where are plenty of restaurants nearby with better prices and service.

Believe me, I have been to many places in this world but this place is really not good...

Fourth time eating here and updating my review. In an area overrun with nice looking places to eat the choice is bewildering, so can really recommend this relaxed corner location for tapas style mezes, cocktails, wine and beautifully presented restaurant quality mains that deliver on taste as well as looks.

Compares favourably to many much more expensive places I've tried in Pera and Sultanhamet but in the trendy neighbourhood of Cihangir.

To be fair one waiter this time was unfriendly to start with but the other waiter and barman compensated enough that I won't mark them down a star after all solid 5...
