2025: Well for round 2, everything's been flipped around. Sa Va was not just our favourite Turkish Breakfast, but the favourite meal of all our travels this trip. A true culinary redemption arc for the ages! 2023: Gotta balance the positive experiences with the negative one, so it was only time that I'd encounter a 1-2star place. First, it was a 10min wait, no acknowledgement from any of the staff whatsoever. Which was fine given how busy they were. I was that ignored that people basically just cut infont, were about to be seated but I spoke out to the staff member. She finally noticed me and sat me down. It was another 25mins before my order was taken, the place had died down by then. Upon my waiting, I noticed how much food waste there was here, because everyone's ordering the Breakfast option. On many tables to be cleared, there were so many untouched dishes. I too contemplated the Breakfast option, but wasn't sold, as it was mostly cold dishes, olives, spreads or simply chopped ingredients. I recommend ordering dishes that require a few steps of cooking. As previously mentioned, by a few others also, the service here is either the best or the worst. Not sure of what the determining factors are, but if you receive the later, you'll know. I didn't even receive any cutlery, so I knew where I sat. Every kebab shop I've visited had better service. Good on them on gaming the system, though, buying 5 star reviews with free coffee or similar incentives. Oh, and yes, the final nail of the coffin, they tack on a service charge to...

A Must-Visit Breakfast Spot in Istanbul!

If you're in Istanbul and looking for an unforgettable Turkish breakfast experience, this place is a hidden gem you absolutely can't miss. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warm hospitality that instantly sets the tone for a perfect morning.

Their Turkish breakfast spread is easily one of the best in the city—freshly baked simit, flavorful cheeses, olives, menemen, honey with kaymak, and endless cups of çay... every item is beautifully prepared and full of authentic flavor. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you want to slow down and savor every bite.

What really stands out—besides the incredible food and cozy ambiance—is the service. The servers are not only attentive and professional, but genuinely kind and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure everything is just right, and their smiles are as warm as the tea.

And here’s the best part: the prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety. It’s hard to find this level of food and service at such a great value anywhere else in Istanbul.

Whether you're a local or just visiting, this spot deserves a place on your list. Highly...

The best breakfast restaurant. Not only because of the food, but their service. Especially the guy named Loay. He made my day, I felt welcomed. We had little chat. he recommended us where to go. He served us their traditional tea as welcome drink. He is so sweet and nice. And surprisingly he served us baklava as complementary dessert after. I would say, my best dine in experience in Turkey.

Food: Spinch and cheese pancakes 275TL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very cheesy, good amount of spinach.

Plain Menemen 210TL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tomato and egg. Very nice

Bal&Manda Kaymagi (honey cream)175TL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My favorite breakfast side. Sweet and creamy

Muammara 125TL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a spicy dip made of walnuts, red bell peppers, pomegranate molasses, and breadcrumbs. But it’s not spicy at all. 1/10 spicy 🌶️ 😂

Bread: unlimited and free There are different types of bread. For those who like sesame, Ask for simit please. Sooooo good.

Baklava: 300TL we received as complementary. I would definitely pay for the...

We have found that for whatever reason, a large number of really highly rated eateries in Istanbul have ratings that absolutely do not match the experience there. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this is one of those places. Ridiculously overpriced (after visiting, we unfortunately discovered their Turkish breakfast is literally 150% more expensive than others nearby of even better quality - unfortunately this was the first place we went to and didn't know any better). Service perfunctory and unfriendly. I let them know I had a severe peanut allergy to which they confirmed they would remove the peanut butter dish - but lo and behold, the peanut butter was brought to our table. I'm just fortunate my husband spotted it prior to me trying it. The food itself wasn't great either - while they may look good in photos, a lot of the little dishes weren't tasty at all and of seemingly poor quality - and we left feeling unsatisfied. Retrospectively, we totally feel ripped off.
