During my recent trip to Istanbul, I had the pleasure of dining at Nevet, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of my visit. From the moment I stepped onto the rooftop terrace, I was struck by its modern design and breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline. The setting is chic, stylish, and vibrant – an ideal spot to enjoy a special evening. To make the most of it, a reservation is absolutely essential, as the restaurant fills up quickly, especially around sunset.

The evening atmosphere was enhanced by live music, which gave the place an energetic yet relaxed vibe. It set the perfect backdrop for a long, enjoyable dinner. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive, ensuring everything from start to finish felt seamless.

Now to the real star – the food. Nevet is a paradise for meat lovers. The Chef’s Special Lamb Kebab was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with smoky flavor. I also tried the N’evet Special Kebab, a creative combination of lamb and beef, which was unique and absolutely delicious. For something lighter, the grilled chicken shish was surprisingly outstanding – juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor. To start, I highly recommend the meze platter, offering a variety of traditional Turkish appetizers that were simply delightful. And for dessert, the Katmer pastry with pistachios and cream was unforgettable.

The drinks were excellent, with creative cocktails like the N’evet Yakamozu standing out, though I should note that alcohol prices are quite high. Everything else, however, felt very reasonably priced considering the quality.

Overall, Nevet combines incredible food, stunning views, live music, and top-level service into a memorable experience. Despite the pricier drinks, I wholeheartedly recommend it and will definitely return on my next visit to Istanbul.

Visited in July 2025. Turkey🇹🇷 Istanbul.

Tucked away from the clamor of Istiklal Street, Nevet is discreetly perched on a rooftop, unveiling breathtaking vistas of Istanbul that instantly captivate. This elevated setting promised a dining experience to match, and we settled in with anticipation.

FOOD: We sampled a selection of dishes, starting with a meze of cheese, pistachios, and herbs. The overpowering cheese made it a miss for our palates, though the staff kindly swapped it for a yogurt-based alternative that proved more agreeable. The highlight of the evening was the “Turkish ravioli”—delicate phyllo dough rolls stuffed with savory meat, their paper-thin, crispy texture a true delight. However, the accompanying sauces were slightly off-balance, with the yogurt’s acidity overpowering the dish. We also tried the pistachio kebab, which was flavorful but a touch dry, leaving us satisfied yet not entirely wowed. While the food was generally tasty, it fell short of the memorable spark we’d hoped for.

SERVICE:

The service was impeccable, living up to the standards of a venue of this caliber. Attentive and polished, the staff ensured a seamless dining experience, adding a touch of refinement to the evening.

VERDICT:

Nevet is a respectable choice, particularly for its unparalleled views of Istanbul, though its above-average prices set expectations that the cuisine doesn’t fully meet. If ambiance takes precedence over culinary brilliance, this rooftop retreat aligns well with your priorities. For those seeking a standout meal, however, other options in the city may...

I’ve been in many restaurants in Istanbul. Maybe this is the best place to visit and see. And most of all to taste the food! I stayed in the hotel, where N’evet Istanbul Lounge is situated at the top of the building. It is just on the top of the best hotel in Istanbul, where I use to stay every time I am in Istanbul- Ayramin Exclusive Hotel!! There is a wonderful roof bar, very cozy. But first of all you see the restaurant which design is the best. Very luxurious but at the same time you feel at home. The staff is more than polite. They make you feel so welcome. Me and my mother were welcomed just like special guests! They served us so fast. With the unique experience to see all Istanbul from high view while eating best dishes from Turkey as well as other european dishes. Food is 5 from5!!! If you go to Istanbul, please make sure you will visit this wonderful restaurant! A place when you can talk for hours in a luxury restaurant, where all the staff are your friends. Enjoy the selection of wines! I’ve tried some of them and they’re amazing, especially the rosè! As a gift ( it was soooo sweet!) a young lady made us photos and when we were leaving, she came to us and showed our pictures on the mega screen at the entrance!!! I have always heard about Turkish hospitality, their lovely culture and kindness! But that was really the top! Prices are very affordable. Wonderful place! Thank you so much, N’evet Istanbul Lounge! Wait for me soon!...
