Nice, cozy place place with a great view of old city from across the sea The staff are friendly, helpful and attitude free which is a great thing for a cozy dining brand 👍🏻 It's a Turkish flare added version of a Tex Mex food menu which I appreciated yet there is plenty room for improvement with the taste and good selection yet Kokoreç balls (cured and spiced intestines)as a starter was hot and served with the right sauce which I enjoyed. The hot wings were really tasty yet the cheese sauce is a still question mark for me. Pizza could have been better yet it's too still fine to go. The second floor is very comfy with an amazing Bosphorous view. As for the house beers( they make their own beers and I drank Honey with 6.5 % alcohol and special house beer Vanilla 8.6% alcohol)they were both amazing 🤩 and tasty 😋. The churros with spicy hot chocolate and caramel sauce that was light and yummy I congratulate the chef for this desert which is even better than the ones I ate in Barcelona 🌈🧿👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Again the service was very friendly and welcoming....
Read moreI have very mixed feelings after having a dinner at this place. Initial experience was very good, place is nice and seems well organized. Unfortunately the service soon turned to be very chaotic and unprofessional. I ve received different beer than ordered, we ordered three plates, one mentioned as appetizer. Suddenly two of them landed on the table at the same time and the third never came. We have reminded our waiter that the third meal did not come, he just said “ok” and we did not seen him after neither the food. We had to asked for the check twice and during paying waiter did not look at us neither said a word. Just passed terminal and then left. Issue was most probably with us speaking english but staff should not act like they understand and not deliver. Food was good, beer average to mediocre and staff smiling but ignorant and unprofesional. They try to keep standards high but failing significantly...
Read moreAn Expensive Lunch in Galataport We were in the Eminönü area for some business and decided to walk all the way to Galataport for lunch. We ended up in Populist restaurant quite hungry and exhausted. We started with draft beer, German Wheat, and a Passion Fruit cocktail. Both served but not at the same time. The food menu was rather limited. We ordered two salads and one smoked chicken tigh. Salads were very well presented and delicious. The chicken was medium rare- medium cooked: pink inside with some red blood spots. The sitting was comfortable and with a nice view to the sea. Tables and cushions were clean. Men's Toilets were not so clean but well supplied. The prices were very high. We were also charged around 10% for services. The staff were polite but they all looked very serious, NO smile at all! I hope we can have a better experience next...
