As a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur, I recently had the pleasure of visiting a cafe that truly impressed me. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor was a blend of modern and rustic, with natural wood accents and comfortable seating areas that invited me to sit down and enjoy my coffee.
The cafe had an extensive menu of coffee drinks, and the owner/operator is most knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the preparation of each drink, from the perfectly pulled espresso shots to the carefully steamed milk. I ordered a cortado and was blown away by the rich, velvety texture and perfect balance of espresso and milk.
What really set this cafe apart, however, was the quality of the coffee itself. The beans were clearly carefully sourced and expertly roasted, resulting in a flavor profile that was complex and nuanced, with notes of chocolate, caramel, and a hint of fruitiness. I was thrilled to learn that the cafe offers a variety of house roasted beans for sale.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to any coffee lover looking for a truly exceptional coffee experience. From the quality of the coffee to the location and ambiance, every aspect of this cafe was top-notch. Out of the probably 100+ cafes to choose from in Balat area this has quickly become...
Read moreThis is the best coffee shop in the entire Balat area. This guy is a true pro when it comes to making coffee. His espresso is well made, it has lots of crema and is not bitter. Lattes and cappuccinos have perfectly frothed milk. You can tell the ingredients he uses are also very high quality. I also think that he roasts the beans himself right next door, however im not sure about it. The guy who works there is extremely nice and a very caring individual. He also is an animal lover. He has a special drinking station for dogs and cats. He has snacks and other things for purchase as well, but the coffee is what makes this place what it is.
I am on vacation here in Balat and have tried many different coffee shops around the area and none have had better coffee than this one. If you like coffee, go here. You will not be disappointed. I now come here every day, sometimes a couple...
Read moreI visited this cute café in Balat with a good book and spent about an hour sitting in the sun, watching people pass by while having a coffee. The atmosphere was very pleasant and it was a lovely spot to relax.
Unfortunately, smoking is allowed at the tables, and some girls next to us were chain-smoking, which eventually made us leave. The coffee itself wasn’t good either. To be fair, I think that’s more of a general issue in Istanbul, as I tried about eight different cafés and never found a coffee that didn’t taste like an ashtray, whether it was traditional or espresso-based. I had hoped for better here since they had a big espresso machine, but it wasn’t much different.
Still, the café had a nice vibe and was a good place to sit for a while, so I’ll give it 4 out of 5 stars. They had plenty other things on the menu so I'm sure you'll finde...
