Read moreIt was the second worst meal I had in Istanbul — and definitely one of the most expensive. I went there with really high expectations. I arrived in the afternoon, very hungry, and ordered a salad and an entrecôte. From the moment I sat down, the staff were constantly around my table, speaking Turkish, laughing among themselves, and asking me random questions that made me feel uncomfortable. One specific staff member even made fun of my country of origin, which was extremely unprofessional.
The salad came with four slices of bread. While the salad itself was simple, topped with a lot of cheese, the real problem was the bread — it was clearly 2–3 days old. I immediately pointed it out and asked for warm bread, but the waiter didn’t bring a new one, so I just finished my salad.
Then came the entrecôte — the worst I’ve ever had. I love meat and steaks, but this one was really disappointing. It was tough, flavorless, and I couldn’t even cut it properly. For €26, I expected much better. It was served with just two thin slices of zucchini and tomato — very underwhelming.
Even worse, they served me the same old bread again with the steak. I mentioned it once more, and this time the waiter took it back. After five minutes, he returned with fresh, warm bread — which I appreciated.
I’m giving 2 stars (instead of 1) only because of that gesture, for Omar the waiter who was somewhat professional, and the nice view from the restaurant.
I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely...
Read moreWe were very disappointed with our experience here. The high ratings are completely misleading — the food quality was far below expectations. As for the atmosphere? It was uncomfortable and unpleasant — people are allowed to smoke right next to you, which really ruins the dining experience.
My husband and I ordered the mixed kebab and Iskender, but the waiter, Mario, was incredibly pushy. He kept discouraging my husband’s choice and insisted he switch to the lamb neck tandoori, without even bothering to explain how big the portion would be. When the food finally arrived, the portion was way too much for just two people — it felt wasteful and overwhelming.
To make things worse, the food itself wasn’t good. The meat in the mixed kebab was far too dry, lacking flavor and tenderness. For a restaurant with such high ratings, the quality of the food was extremely disappointing.
The service didn’t help either — aside from the waiter being pushy, there was very little attention to making us feel comfortable or cared for. It felt rushed and impersonal.
We paid 5,400.00 TL for the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had. Between the poor food quality, uncomfortable atmosphere, and pushy service, we definitely won’t be coming back and wouldn’t recommend this...
