Ocakbaşı Coşkun Usta — Restaurant in Fethiye

The food is generally nice but portions are not generous for the high price( I ordered three main meat dishes and 5 soft drinks, it cost around 2500 tl, which is double the amount I normally pay compared to other places I've been to with similar food standards. Even when I compare prices to London where I live its really high). There were no appetizers with the meals at all, which is something I normally find in fethiye. There was a 10% service charge, about 235tl they didn't tell me about it before I ordered, it was just added to my bill at the end (not very honest). I always leave a tip when the service is friendly and good. This wasn't friendly service or good, so they shouldn't force you to leave a tip, I didn't want to create a commotion, so I just paid it, but that's not good behaviour. The waiter who dealt with us seemed grumpy and unfriendly, so its disappointing. One other issue is something I ordered arrived very late (when I was nearly finished eating), I had to ask if it was coming and was told to wait another 5 more minutes, but it seemed to take much longer than that. no apologies from the waiter at all. Not sure if that's normal. One really nice thing was the wild dog that sat next to us, the kids loved the dog so that was nice :) for my kids.. I wouldn't go back there again as the service I had...

I came here late evening and I have to say that the lone waiter was awful. He was completely uninterested the entire time and lacked customer service in every perceivable way. Food-wise, I noticed that one of the locals was sitting with the grill-chef and smoking cigarettes directly in front of the charcoal grill; blowing cigarette smoke onto the meat being cooked for me, which is ridiculous and unhygienic. I tried to get a hold of the manager/owner to raise some concerns, however he was apparently away, so I paid and left for a below...

I had a fantastic meal at Ocakbasi Cosgun Usta in Fethiye. The place has a cozy atmosphere and smells amazing with all the grilled meats.

Semih, our waiter, was wonderful. He was friendly and helpful with his recommendations. We enjoyed some delicious mezes. The Adana, Ciger (liver) and the tender lamb chops, seasoned chicken skewers were unforgettable.
