Galata Symbol Fish — Restaurant in Istanbul

Very poor service. We choose one big fish for 6 people as they recommend us instead of having an individual plate for everyone. We waited for more than half an hour and then they bring us the fish into 4 pieces and I'm not sure if it's the whole one or not (I can't confirm nor deny). They said the fish will come with rice and fries which I thought it'll be a plate for each one of us but they brought some fries over the fish and two small plates of rice which one of them the waiter put it over the fish plate with an unprofessional way, that was my biggest problem with the staff, they treat the customer with no respect. Before we entered the restaurant the guy outside promised us a discount of 20% with a free drink (coffee or tea) and a piece of baklava for everyone, that promise they keep. The photos here are a bit old. It is now called galata sembol balik. It's basically a bad tourist trap. All of the restaurants on the bridge kind of are, but i think this one is especially pushy. Our experience was quite bad this past day, here's how it went: we got almost physically pulled in, but wanted to get a drink on the bridge so decided to do it. When they found out we only wanted drinks at 4pm they freaked out and stomped off after our order. Then the waiter sat down with us and said America was a bad country and he wanted to kill George Bush. He literally said this and it was very hostile. So we drank our drinks and left, but it was really bad. If you want a drink on the bridge please don't support these guys since they seem to be the most aggressive. I Went for dinner at this restaurant on 29 December 2018. I was really excited to eat here as I imagined it to be a very nice place with good entertainment and environment. Sadly I was mistaken. The ambience is excellent, perfect views at night, good smells of different food being cooked but the food wasn't up to the excellence. I ordered simple sish tok chicken and a mushroom beef steak. Both were very dry and tasteless. I was utterly surprised by the fact that they could not deliver such a minor order properly. I thought bread was complimentary, but I was wrong.
