SARAY RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Istanbul

I went there last nite with family. The menu had clear prices and looks cheap. But when you sit inside they over charge you. There was 5 of u 3 shish dishes were ok, ordered 2 pizza they arrived and was clearly not fresh anyway when I I the bill it was 3300 turkish lira they said they took the pizza off because we returned they did kick a fuss when we asked in the end what they did was just raised the prices of the 3 other dishs. Also we notice the waiter on the other table was reusing the so called mineral water just recycling it. Lucky we had fizzydrinks.when we arrived on table the has starred pouring water to which my niece asked is this fresh water which I didnt believe. My gut feeling was right stat well clear. The two waiters where very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately they didn't really know what their dishes are made with, as I requested the grilled fish without flour - which we even translated via App - but then still came battered. They were very apologetic and brought me a new one, which was delicious. The main waiter also tried making it up to me with free chai and baklava - the last one I couldn't eat either, of course 😅 But the thought counts, I find 😊 That the wine would be this expensive, was a bit of a suprise 😅, as it wasn't on the menu (1/2 l white wine bottle fir 1100 TL) As it wasn't very busy they were also kind enough to help me make a booking at a massage place, as their online booking didn't work. Here I ate the best hummus and the best shrimps of my life. The food is truly extraordinary. The dessert a kunefe was perfectly cooked. In the good Turkish style, I also received a watermelon from the house.

But this restaurant also has negative sides:

1. tip is added to the receipt regardless of the client's wish (it is the only place in Istanbul where I have seen this practice);

2. the receipt was wrong, things were added to me that I did not order (after a discussion with the waiter, the mistake was rectified);
