Mandolin Cafe — Restaurant in Konak

The view was truly lovely. We decided to try two dishes: the deep-fried chicken and the beef filet salad.

The chicken was satisfactory, though it didn't stand out in flavor.

As for the salad, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The combination of flavors felt unbalanced and lacked the zest I was hoping for. I only managed to take one bite and, to my surprise, the tomatoes were the only aspect that caught my attention. Additionally, the beansprouts appeared to be rather old and didn't enhance the dish. I understand that fresh beansprouts can be challenging to find and may be pricey in Izmir, and perhaps it would be better to leave them out if they affect the appeal of the dish.

Waited a long time before being acknowledged and given a card with the QR code. We wanted to sit inside, but apparently no waitstaff was assigned to those tables, so eventually we had to move. My daughter was brought the wrong fruit freeze and had to complain to multiple people before it was corrected. I ordered a salad which was dull and uninspired, and she ordered a pizza that looked (and tasted) like it had just come from the freezer. Since we arrived we were greeted by the hostess who scanned me from head to toe while rolling her eyes. We ordered dessert and tea, the taste was okay. The view and atmosphere of the place is beautiful but honestly IDK if I'd go back due to the hostess/waitress treatment. And at the payment she literally threw the receipt at me and left while babbling something. I seriously felt like I was being judged just by existing there. What a pity because the place is nice.
