Ray's Grill — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

Update number 3. Visited tonight and was given a private room for our party of four. Everything was on point. Service was amazing, and the food was also amazing. From entering the restaurant to leaving it was a perfect evening. This was the first visit for my mom to Abu Dhabi and sue was suitably impressed. Thanks to the staff and manager for a memorable evening.

Great View's, great service and the food was great. I was not sure about the steak in Abu Dhabi as I am from Alberta. No complaints. Medium rare sirloin and it was up to standard. My only suggestion would be to increase the vegetable options on the menu, very limited.

Revisited the restaurant tonight. Not great. Food and atmosphere were wonderful...service was abysmal, and terribly slow. Food orders came out and they did not place one meal correctly at the table. They forgot a couple of food items and the fries came out uncooked. The steak and seafood were amazing. Then for dessert they knew they had screwed up so brought out a free cheesecake with the ordered deserts, just no cutlery to eat it with....all the while we were waiting for our coffee order which took over 20 minutes for an Americano. The latte never showed up until asked for. In a service rich culture of Abu Dhabi this was way below par. The manager did come over and apologize. Luckily the company was awesome and the views unbeatable. Won't be back...

The ambiance was very calming and nice. The food was okay if your look at the price. I think they could have reduced that prices just to show a projection on your table. So it was very much over priced. This is definitely a fun experience to have with kids but the sad thing is below 6 are not allowed. I feel this is only for kids. As an adult I found 10000 things they could change and upgrade or modify. Coming back to the food even though we chose our menu but noone asked us what kind of cook on our steak do we want and was just served medium rare. If I pay such an amount I expect our food to be of our choice. The excuse given was since the steak is thin it was cooked to medium rare. Well no we are not someone who like to eat bloody steaks please. Still we did not want to create a fuss so ignore this major flaw. While booking I thought that the show have something to do with the menu that's the reason why they are so insistent on paying in advance and choosing a menu. I don't think it did.

The service on the other hand from the servers was good except the lady who came and said that the steak was cooked medium rare because it was thin otherwise it will dry. Which was not acceptable at all . We should have been asked about it very disappointing thing to happen. Otherwise she was kind and very good. So for me it was a below...

Unfortunately I had the chance to dine here during my trip to Abu Dhabi and I recommend you to go elsewhere. The hotel itself is nice but once you reach the restaurant floor you realize that is nothing special.

The treatment from the staff is ok but the whole environment doesn't give any excitement. Living in London I had the chance to visit at least 30 different restaurant that made me blink. This one instead, nothing special.

The poor lightning is also a downside but this is not the worse part.

Asked for a T-Bone steak medium rare (the Italian so called "Fiorentina" ~ 600gr). What I got back was an overcooked piece of meat that was the equivalent of my shoe sole.

My girlfriend on the other hand had the same experience with her sirloin that was overcooked too and didn't give room to any good judgement.

For a "purely meat" place this is simply unacceptable. We decided to tell the waitress about the problem but we kept the meat since it would have been a complete waste.

Even if the staff tried to save the situation we decided to leave with what was the worse meat experience I ever had.

I suggest you avoiding this overpriced place and go to a traditional restaurant elsewhere.
