Al Afadhil is one of those places where you keep going back purely for the food. The kebabs, parathas, chutneys, and everything they serve taste genuinely amazing. Their food quality is not in question—it’s consistently good, flavorful, and fresh.
The real issue here is the service, which is extremely poor. They have very limited employees, and this shortage affects the entire dining experience. I’ve personally mentioned to them several times that they need to add staff, but no action has been taken. The result is the same every visit: long delays and constant waiting.
To give you an idea, you’ll rarely get all your items together. If your kebabs arrive, you’ll still be waiting for parathas. If you manage to get parathas, the onions or chutney are still missing. Even after ordering well in advance, you have to wait again and again during your meal. It feels impossible to enjoy the food in one go because something is always delayed or forgotten.
The staff present are polite enough, but they are clearly overworked and unable to manage the load. This creates frustration for customers, no matter how much you appreciate the taste of the food.
On top of that, they don’t accept card payments—only cash. In today’s time, this is highly inconvenient and adds another layer of hassle.
In summary: The food is excellent and worth the praise, but the overall experience is let down by extremely poor service, staff shortage, and outdated payment options. If they hire more employees and improve their system, this place could easily become one of the best. Until then, be prepared to wait for almost...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Afadhil Restaurant, and I can confidently say that it has become my go-to destination for an exceptional culinary experience!
Let's start with the star of the show - the Galauti Kebab with Paratha. Words cannot adequately express how incredibly flavorful and tender this kebab was. Each bite was a heavenly combination of perfectly spiced minced meat, expertly cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The delicate blend of spices and the aromatic herbs used in the marinade created a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate. Accompanied by the flaky, buttery Parathis, it was a match made in culinary heaven!
To complement my meal, I indulged in a glass of their Thick Lassi. Creamy, rich, and refreshingly cool, it was the perfect accompaniment to the bold flavors of the Galauti Kebab. The lassi was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness, leaving me feeling refreshed and satisfied.
Beyond the extraordinary food, the service at Al Afadhil Restaurant was top-notch. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and passionate about providing a memorable dining experience. They were more than happy to ensure that every aspect of my visit was nothing short of perfection.
The ambiance of Al Afadhil Restaurant added another layer of charm to my dining experience. The tastefully decorated interior, with its warm hues and comfortable seating, created an inviting and...
Read moreMost online reviews seem misleading or possibly paid. • Either people praising the place have never tried actual Lucknowee or Mughlai cuisine, or there’s a serious disconnect between expectation and reality. • Easily the worst dining experience we’ve had in Dubai so far when it comes to Indian or Awadhi food.
Kebabs: • Galouti and Seekh kebabs were extremely disappointing. • Off-putting smell, poor taste, and strange texture. • Not even comparable to any street-side kebab joint in Lucknow.
Chicken Gravy: • Sour and completely tasteless. • Low-quality chicken pieces that felt undercooked or stale. • Served with a plastic disposable spoon that literally melted in the hot curry – extremely unhygienic.
Parathas: • Greasy and heavy. • Absolutely not like Mughlai “ulta tawa” paratha — far from authentic. • Seemed like cheap layered dough fried in low-quality oil.
Lassi: • Tasted like Almarai curd mixed with sugar – no creaminess, no flavor, no freshness. • Not the kind of rich, frothy lassi you expect from any North Indian or Lucknowee eatery.
Service Experience: 1/10 • Untrained staff — seemed confused throughout. • Despite being three people, they served one paratha at a time, causing frustrating delays. • No attentiveness, no coordination between kitchen and floor staff.
Payment Issue: • Not accepting card payments in 2025 is shocking for a...
