Read moreNow if you like indian food and want great value I must say avoid the tourist spots and head to Maharajabhog one of the best thalis I have had.
It’s on the main road and nothing special to look at but it’s big and it’s clean and has some great food. At just 48 AED per person (Less than £10 GBP per head) you won’t find a more reasonable place. I am even informed this used to be half the price before they moved to this new location.
As soon as you walk in you have option for eat as much as you like pani puri which in itself is worth a visit but don’t have too much as you will miss out on the main reason to come.
You are also offered fresh yoghurt drink (chas) and as soon as you sit you are served all the options. From various dals, dokra, to potatoes curries, puri and chapatis with various sauces and rice as well as a sweet dish. Each dish is full of flavour and spices each being different. There is enough options for all. Although all fully vegetarian you will keep getting as many refills as you wish with staff constantly walking around ready to serve. It was a busy place and we were lucky to get a seat. All patrons seemed to be local which i always find a good sign.
You can get spoilt when you have such a great selection of fresh and amazing food at such a great price. I always love and know a place is good when weeks or months after to can recall the journey and food in your mind and mouth.
You finally get served a pan kulfi but totally frozen and was so full at the end had no space to even try.
Amazing food with great service and i something I will miss and look forward to visiting again on my next visit.

Washing off your hands on the table kick started the royal hospitality. We started off with pani poori, this is such a tricky review as each person has its own taste of pani and it differs varied lay from each individual to another. My husband liked it a for me it was an average fare . So this is totally on individual tastebuds.
Moving onto Thali, once seated the servers start coming and filling your empty plates with delicious Gujrati/Rajasthani dishes. Special mention on the Aamras poori which was the highlight of the veering and was relished by the lil one too much. They wee pretty generous with their servings too. Bhindi sabzi, Dahi Bhalla, Chana sabzi, Gujrati dal and khichadi wee another favourites of ours on the Thali. They also provide masala papad and smoky chaas which was superb on the table. Very wholesome, healthy and delicious Thali experience. In the end, apart from Lauki ka halwa as dessert they served us with Malai Kulfi which simply was ah-maxing and was a perfect way to end our delightful meal experience.
