Belgian Beer Café at Madinat Jumeirah: Where the People Shine Brighter Than the Brews Nestled in the stunning Madinat Jumeirah complex in Dubai, the Belgian Beer Café is a gem for anyone craving authentic Belgian brews in an atmosphere that’s equal parts cozy and cosmopolitan. With over 20 taps pouring classics like Duvel, Hoegaarden, and rare seasonal gems, it’s easy to see why this spot draws beer enthusiasts from across the city. But let’s be honest—it’s not just the amber nectar that keeps me coming back. It’s the incredible team behind the bar and on the floor who turn a simple pint into an unforgettable evening. These folks don’t just serve; they connect, anticipate, and elevate every moment. Shoutout first to Rajeev, hailing from the Philippines—he’s the heartbeat of the service with his infectious energy and encyclopedic knowledge of the menu. Whether you’re debating a wheat beer pairing or need a quick recommendation for a gluten-free option, Rajeev’s warm smile and spot-on suggestions make you feel like an old friend, not just another customer. Then there’s Gilbert from Goa, India, whose bartending flair is pure magic. With a background that screams hospitality (you can tell from his seamless multitasking), he crafts cocktails and pours with precision, all while cracking jokes that had our table in stitches. His Goan charm adds a layer of genuine fun that’s hard to find elsewhere. But the real MVP? Jurreza, the Filipino bar manager who’s the quiet force keeping everything humming. With his eagle-eyed oversight and effortless leadership, Jurreza ensures every detail—from the crisp glassware to the perfectly timed table clears—feels polished yet personal. SHe’s the guy who remembers your last visit’s favorite girl and slips in a complimentary tasting without missing a beat. Under his watch, the whole team operates like a well-oiled machine, making you forget you’re in a bustling café and feel like you’re at a private tasting hosted by pros. Now, don’t get me wrong—the Belgian Beer Festival at City Mall is literally just a 5-minute drive away, packed with vendors and vibes. But after one too many visits plagued by mediocre wait times, indifferent bartenders, and service that felt more robotic than welcoming, we’ve sworn it off. Why settle for average when the Belgian Beer Café at Madinat Jumeirah is “only” a 45-minute drive (traffic depending, of course)? That trek is worth every second for the stellar experience these individuals—Rajeev, Gilbert, Jurreza, and the rest of the bartenders and floor crew—deliver. It’s out of this world, hands down. If you’re in Dubai and love your beers with a side of soul, skip the shortcuts and head straight here. Five stars, no question. Prost!

I came in on a Sunday around 6 pm. and sat at the bar. The place was very quiet. But since there was no one behind the bar, it still took them more than ten minutes to notice me. Then one of the waitresses approached me and asked if I had already ordered. I said no and that I would like a Hoegaarden. She said okay and then went away to serve some people on the outside terrace. And never returned with my beer. After another couple of minutes the staff member who sat at the entrance came in and asked if I had already ordered. Notice that the bar hadn't been staffed for more than ten minutes with no one behind the bar. I said that I was still waiting and he said he would get someone. I waited for another couple of minutes and no one turned up. So, I got up and left. The staff clearly seems to hide themselves from customers and I didn"t feel like playing hide and seek. And no manager to be seen as well. What a difference from the Belgian bar in the Crown Plaza in Festival City. Quick and attentive service there, while no service at all in the Souk Madinat. Only a star because it is a nice bar. With some staff that is interested in serving customers and a manager who runs the place, this place has potential.

Belgian Beer Cafe offers an exquisite dining experience with their outstanding MIX BBQ and MIX seafood options. The delectable blend of flavors in both dishes is truly commendable. Pairing this culinary delight with their selection of the best beers elevates the entire experience. The diverse range of high-quality beers enhances the dining pleasure, catering to different preferences. Moreover, the service at Belgian Beer Cafe is nothing short of exceptional. The staff's attentiveness and efficiency contribute significantly to a positive overall impression. Whether you're a food enthusiast or a beer connoisseur, this establishment provides a delightful fusion of both. Having had such a wonderful experience, I am eager to return and savor the culinary delights once again. Belgian Beer Cafe not only excels in its offerings but also ensures a memorable visit with its top-notch service. For anyone seeking a perfect combination of great food, the finest beers, and impeccable service, this is undoubtedly a must-visit spot.

Long story short: Food was not bad and ambience was nice but the service was horrible.

Usually i dont bother writing reviews and just 5 star a place i like, but for this one instance i feel like i have to write an honest review: (Zomato was too cluttered with reviews for this to be seen I'm sure when someone pops open google maps to share the location pin with their freinds they will atleast come across this review for second thoughts)

Belgian cafe is cool and chill place to chill with yours buds...(or so i thought) i came to this place recently and wanted to show it to my friends who came from abroad as tourists.

The thing this place lacked that day was a good service. Everything else seemed fine.

It was shocking to see such poor attitude of certain staff working there. Sure there maybe some wonderful staff there but at least that one particular waitress that served us seemed to not bother to tend to us.(it wasnt as if she couldnt see us or as of it was a busy time)

Maybe this may have been an isolated incident but for such a reputed chain surely they can keep up their quality of service especially at that price range.

It's freaking corona season and you'd think the people working the service sector would do their best at their jobs to keep the customers happy and feel like coming into their restaurant again to keep the business running.

The reputation of the whole restaurant shouldn't bank on this one waitress.(I've read on Zomato from another reviewer about a rude waitress- i'm wondering if she is the same)

There was another man though who seem to be kind hence i dont want to give this place bad review but until they improve their service i wouldn't feel like giving it a 5 star review and recommending this place to people who have an eye for good taste in restaurants and pubs.

However i must admit the food did taste somewhat good.

tbh 70% chances you'd have a good time but the 30% chance of bad service is not worth it as there are so many places in dubai with guaranteed better service for that price range (had spent like 500 aed here)

So i give it a 3 stars for ambience and food; 2 stars removed for...

We dined in yesterday for dinner. They had the worst service ever. We were seated by the hostess, im not sure if she informed the server that they have a new customers cause no one approached our table until we call them to order. We ordered a curry wurst to start with as were starving, the food was good actually, we liked it. But as we were finishing eating it, the waitress took the plate with sauce as she saw theres no more meat in it, without asking us if we were done eating. My bf was done, but I was still eating, and I was also taking sauces from the plate she took. We didnt say anything at all. As Im almost done with the meat anyway. We then decided to order more appetizers, mains and drinks. She served us the drink first, but never bothered to tell us which is which. Tho its obvious what we ordered, she didnt even care to put the drinks beside us. She just put it in the middle of table. The next appetizers arrived later on, and all of the dishes were being served on the side of my bf first, when theres a whole space on the table. And my bf’s ashtray were pushed on my side, coming from the opposite side of the table 🤦🏼‍♀️ again, while serving the food, she was just quiet, no dish names were mentioned. We were a bit confused so we asked her as we were expecting something else, by that time only we knew what we actually ordered. The main course came with another server, and all the finished plates were still on the table, he was just standing there on the side of our table as to expect us to move the plates away, until we asked him that he can take it away, he would just stand there, and no, theres no more space on the table for us to put the plates aside. Well at least this server served the food mentioning which is which. But still the worst service we experienced...
