This is a massively disappointing place to visit. I don’t know much about turtle rehabilitation but this doesn’t make much sense. On the ground floor of a vast hotel complex in a rather dirty looking pool, we saw two small turtles. Their pool is surrounded by restaurants and pool side terraces and I assume when it’s busy, there’ll be the hustle and bustle of music and people. Is this really what turtle rehabilitation looks like? It is very hard to find - nobody that I spoke to seemed to know where it was but I eventually found one person who said you need to actually go inside the hotel lobby and ask. The 'lagoons' form the atrium of a cluster of three or four of the hotels dining options . There are printed boards with descriptions of the species. That's it. Nobody from the Rehabilitation Centre staff, nobody to speak about their work, no information about the veterinary aspects of their work. Nothing. I wandered, took a few pictures of juveniles desperately trying to move from their enclosure to another, and then left. A real opportunity here, lost....
