Madinat Theatre / First Group Theatre — Attraction in Dubai

Their online ticketing system is terrible. I kept getting error messages so ı had to go to the venue to buy my tickets. There, they assured, there would be no withdrawal of money for the online transaction since I kept getting error messages. I trusted them and bought my tickets there. A day later money was deducted from my credit card for the unfinished online transactions as well and they haven’t returned the money for over a week now. They admit it is a mistake from their side but they are waiting for the signature of finance director to return my money. It should not have been charged beforehand since ı informed them way ahead. They made a mistake and charged it but now they don’t care enough to undo their mistake on a prompt manner. Customer service...

The waiters at the bar and the security where really friendly and competent, but the "best of broadway" was the worst I've ever seen on a stage. You should offer the money back to the audience and this has nothing to do with taste, this was simply bad. I came with my friend the way from Abu Dhabi to enjoy an evening promised as "a collection of the greatest hits from broadway's most popular musicals sung by WORLD CLASS INTERNATIONAL CAST . . . ." People started laughing while they where singing or singing themselves just to cover the wrong notes. . . . . If I visit a concert in Madinat Theatre I expect a world class show observed from the Madinat Theatre committee in advance. What a disappointing experience . . . . and what a waste...

The theatre is fine but the show, Best of Broadway, was so poorly done it was laughable. People were literally laughing during the performances because it was SO bad. My daughter's Middle School variety show has better singing, theatrical presence, lighting, and background slides. Get some quality control and advertise your shows...
