ushna.dubai is located at the Souk Madinat, a destination for leisure, shopping and unique dining assimilating the essence of Arabian Tradition. One does feel the warmth of the place as you enter the Souk and head further down to dine at Ushna. The ambience, the food and the service were exceptionally good.

@ushna.dubai is recommended for Indian cuisine as it meets five star restaurant standards, ambience, food & amazing service. I noticed many Arabs and Europeans dining at Ushna as the taste suits all nationalities.

The cuisine is authentic dishes from throughout the subcontinent. The scent of jasmine, saffron, curry, lavender and other spices wafts from the kitchen -- beyond the entrance doors -- I enjoyed meals - -Travancore Fish Moilee- A fish curry from the Royal kitches of travancore family during colonial Era was absolutely Delightful.

-Butter Chicken - Fenugreek Tamato Gravy with Tandoor Chicken Tikka was rich in flavours and Tasteful.

Murg Zafrani Biriyani- Tender Chicken Thigh, biryani spices and cooked in a sealed pot absolutely yummy.

Basil and Parmesan chicken - Chicken breast in sweet basil parmesan & nuts with mango chilli salsa was so tempting.

Tandoori Chicken Tikka - Chicken Thigh, punjabi marinade, Stuffed shishito papper, Green herbs sauce was just enjoyable.

kesar Rasmalai- Cremy milk dumplings with strawberry jam and sweet boondi was heavenly.

The food was delectable! The establishment is clean, comfortable and ornate. The outside dining area overlooks of souk madina and water front views.

Contrary to many of the reviews here, we thoroughly enjoyed the food at Ushna. The butter chicken and chicken biriyani were both great, and the views and ambience were lovely.

However the food was overshadowed by the lackluster service - our waiter was particularly slow and inattentive, compared with waiters in other restaurants we have been to in Dubai this week. Maybe the waiters are overstretched as there didn’t seem to be anyone available when needed on the balcony area. We had to wait and then ask multiple times to first place the order, then ask for popadoms and lastly ask for the bill - making us feel disregarded by the waiter. We waited over ten minutes just to pay and leave. He was also quite rude, trying to take a dish away which still had food in.

On a separate note, the toilets in the restaurant were very small and quite dirty when we visited.
