Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf — Hotel in Dubai

We keep returning to this beautiful oasis of a hotel. We stay in a summerhouse, which have been refurbished in the recent year, the decor is absolutely beautiful and fresh while keeping the Arabic feel. The new style bathroom with dressing table area was particularly welcomed, even a dyson hairdryer,......ladies!!. The summerhouses have every amenity you could want during your stay, the beds are so comfortable and the pillows sumptuous. I loved having my morning tea on the balcony overlooking the waterways. The butlers are brilliant and helpful, the sundowner each evening provides drinks/nibbles and gives a chance for a get together with other guests before your evening meal. Breakfast is always a treat, the buffets are extensive, beautifully presented and something available for everyone. The main hotel is beautifully presented, always smells amazing and all staff greet you warmly. The valet staff outside are great, so accomodating and professional, they greeted us warmly each time we came back after being out and offered bag help or golf buggies. The gym is superbly stocked with everything you could want, top of the range equipment, indoor pool and classes. A private beach with an abundance of beautiful beds which are not directly next to someone and the sea is always scanned by the lifeguards, making you feel safe. The main pool is amazing, again this is manned by lifeguards, the sun loungers are comfortable and the staff bring bottled water in a cool bag for your use, this is such a nice treat. The pool staff provide drinks and food menus which we can say was delicious. I could not imagine anyone being disappointed with their stay here......it is the ultimate luxury holiday. We loved every aspect and every guest we spoke to had stayed before.....once you stay here, you won't want to go anywhere else, nothing ever lives up to this place. A private pool for the summerhouses along with a lifeguards and staff to bring drinks etc... we were even visited each day by a gentleman on a bike playing music and giving bags of free sweets, such a lovely touch. We had fresh fruit in our room along with gifts each evening from bookmarks, keyring and lotions. The room cleaning and nightly turndown was second to none, these people work really hard. Lastly is one of the hotel managers, Dulith Guyan - this manager goes out of his way to welcome us and offers help with anything, he always takes time out of his busy schedule to come and say hello, we value this so much. Guyan accommodated our request of being in the same villa as our friends so we could spend evenings together and days around the private pool. I cannot rate this gentleman any higher, his professionalism is top notch....his attention to detail is astounding, what a brilliant job he does. We keep returning to this magical place as we know we will have a luxurious perfect holiday. Great accommodation, great food, great staff and such a beautifully presented place which is a dream to travel around, the gardens are looked after and nothing ever out of place, the abra boats are such a lovely way to get around while the golf buggies bring welcome relief from walking in the hot weather. You are guaranteed a perfect stay here and we will keep returning every year that we can. Dulith.....what a guy!! and what a hotel!!...

Another amazing stay at DAM! Our home away from home this is our 20th visit to Dam. Importantly our experience wouldn't be as wonderful without your amazing staff. Firstly I would like to mention our fantastic butlers Ronit,Rohan and Asmita their warmth,kindness,smiles and attending to all our needs was second to none. They would always ask if we were happy and if we needed anything they always went the extra mile for us . We end up leaving our holiday that we had gained some lovely friends.

We have always Stayed at Dal al masyaf as it feels quite and secluded and we love the villa pool. And the villa rooms. Also the beautiful peacocks that roam around the gardens are mesmerising

The newly renovated villa rooms are spacious and bright with a beautiful big bathroom. All toiletries are replaced twice a day! Drinks and snacks are served daily at happy hour which was wonderful.

Our lovely butlers would call buggies for us to go to other parts of the resort and they would arrive within 5 mins so no waiting around.

Our house keeper Balaram was truly fabulous. He is so kind, always smiling and he is such a hard-working person. Our room was always immaculate after he had finished in the morning and at turn down. He would always ask us if we need anything for the room. He truly is an asset to DAM.

Alexia another buttler from another villa was so friendly and always asked if we needed anything.

Sharif (assistant buttler) were amazing too so helpful so friendly and always stopped to chat and always asked if we were ok or needed anything he will definitely make an amazing buttler.

Sultan at poolside was so so kind he went all the way to main pool to blow up my boys crocodile. He would always chat to us and the boys and make us laugh. He was very attentive we always had our sun beds prepared with towels and cold water bottles ready for us.

The pool side food and in room dining was so delicious. I have sadly forgotten our pool side food butlers name he was so very sweet on our last day brought us a surprise bon voyage cake.

All the life guards at the pool were so nice and friendly they even gave the boys swimming tips which the boys loved!

Nabina, Manager of the vilas was absolutely fantastic she really took care of me and my family and made us feel at home. Right from the airport pick up to leaving on our last day was we were treated like royalty. On the last day Nabina, Ronit Rohan, Balaram, Sharif were all waiting for us to say bye before we left for the airport which was very heartwarming.

Breakfast at Al qasar and le prominade are absolutely delicious. Mary and Rahman at breakfast were so welcoming and friendly and on our last day of breakfast we got another delicious bon voyage cake from them.

A big thank you to Jijo and Nabina and their wonderful team at DAM you truly made our stay amazing . We cannot wait to book our next trip and see you all again.

Dar Al masyaf is definitely the place to stay when you are in Dubai.

The villas are beautiful, spacious and newly renovated I would give this 10 stars The service is simply outstanding. 10 stars The location is beautiful with manicured and peaceful gardens .10 stars These three areas deserve more...

I must start by echoing several posts I have read recently, like many others state the Dar used to stand for something and the service was amazing from start to finish, BUT: ||No more Villa check-in or check out so what are we paying for, no Butler around in the evening again what are we paying for, restrictions on which pool and beach you are allowed to use, again what are we paying for.||I am all for change but it makes me think its cheaper to stay in a club room in one of the hotels.||We were informed we could ONLY use the beach at the Al Qsar and the Celeste beach club, as adults we like the adults only areas, in the past we would visit the adults only pool at the naseem one day then Celeste another day and maybe one of the other hotels beach locations! oh no not now! what happened to being a resort guest and the excuse its capacity do not wash with me.||We were turned away from the Naseem pool and when we walked to Celeste we were told it was full, its not full as they reserve 50% of the sunbeds for external paying guests which meant that most were left unused all day long with the staff using props such as shoes and books to make it look like they were being used. ||We also witnessed on the days we got a sunbed by getting up early which we have never had to do before that other hotel guests who were willing to part with some of the folding stuff could turn up anytime and guess what a sunbed was available by removing!! wait for it!! a prop or two!! have we not paid for these in the pricing.||Check out:|We checked out at 8AM and the office reserved for the Villa guests was closed, no words really.||OK so all that aside its still an amazing place with some amazing staff members, the Villas are lovely we had Villa 8 and the location and view were amazing.||The resort itself is still lovely and the food is amazing, I agree that the HB is not what it used to be and if we return which is a big IF we would now visit B+B.||We over heard a lot of regular guests commenting on the changes and the hotel need to be very careful as people will vote with their feet.||I have been 100% honest with my review and if anyone from the management team would like to dispute my comments I am happy to discuss in private.||We had the pleasure of meeting some colleagues that deserve a well done:||House keeping was fantastic and were were looked after by a lovely chap called Rakib ( Villa 8).||The management team were lovely and we chatted one evening in the Villa they were called Ioana and Jasmine, both of these colleagues were amazing and they both deserve a big thank you from the Resort manager, their dedication to their job was outstanding.||Other colleagues who went above were Lauren Weaver who looked after several requests with 100% professionalism.||Two colleagues at the Celeste beach club were shawn ( always happy and always smiling) and Godwin ( who we named the ice man) both really looked after us.||Will we return, I really dont know.||I have tried to be honest and after some reflection I truly believe that the management also need to reflect and listen...
