Doors Dubai — Restaurant in Dubai

Sad to see how a restaurant that was the best one in Dubai has been losing quality in food and service by leaps and bounds during the last months... Unimaginable that waiter would have asked you (before, when this place was still top) "Let me check if we do have these 2 dishes..." That means that there are some missing main ingredients failing to be purchased by the Chef in an usual manner. Do not expect that waiters offer to serve you the starters anymore... (like cutting the bread, smashing and serving the baked potato, etc.) If you want this service, you will have to ask for it (even with the restaurant empty as today; if it would be crowded, I could understand but not we only 2 occupied tables...)

I am loyal guest of Doors since long time before they launched Membership program, but today they lost me as client.

Today I barely ate anything.

I couldn't eat the meat dish I ordered (It was full of fat and nerves) and I couldn't chew; it was like chewing gum. On the other side, the quality of service isn't the same as used to be. If fettuccine (pasta) reach the table at room temperature you won't be able to enjoy (you can eat it but not enjoying as before) since after 2 minutes will be cold...

On the other hand, there's no (real) manager there to take care of anything, and when what we understand was the 2nd Manager approached us after we complained about meat quality to a waiter (a Filipino gentleman who kindly attended us at the main entrance as hostess), he said he wouldn't charge for the mains as compensation… but then once we asked for the bill, the mains were charged (apparently under his Manager instructions)

I don't come to a place like Doors Dubai Mall worrying about how much I am going to pay...BUT do not promise that you will not charge for the mains if you are not seriously thinking to honor your word.

Again, it's not about the money; I went there to have a good time and left without eating and very angry, and on top of that, I have to pay.

Maybe I'm not important to you as customer (I will never ask caviar or champagne since I don't like), but keep in mind that I was a loyal customer who always went there, and that's hard to get.

Chose here to celebrate my husband’s birthday and the experience was absolutely fantastic. They have 2 branches in Dubai and we chose the Dubai Mall as the location was closer for us. We were given an outside table on the terrace where we were able to enjoy the excellent view of the Dubai fountain show every 30mins. The services from every waiter were speechlessly amazing, every one of them were so delightful and friendly, not a single grumpy or unfriendly looking staff could be spotted. Yes their menu items were very pricey but given its location, the amazing view and the top-notch services, it was worth the visit at least once during your trip to Dubai. Wagyu striploin steak was perfectly cooked, pomegranate salad was absolutely divine, super refreshing and the avocado pizza, thin & crispy base, perfect amount of toppings, one serve was just not enough. Chips unfortunately were soggy but thanks to the very friendly manager Khedr who came to check on our experiences, after hearing our feedback, he gladly offered a replacement or change to different dish and we could not be happier with the corn on the cob where the combination with the butter sauce just brought the corn flavour to a whole new level. Tropic temptation and Midnight mist are absolutely must try drinks, so refreshing and divine. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Doors restaurant in Dubai Mall, and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The soft, well-curated music in the background added an extra layer of charm, making the entire experience feel like a true escape from the everyday hustle.

Now, let’s talk about the food—wow! The pasta was simply divine. Every bite was a burst of flavor, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and a lot of love. The dish was perfectly cooked, with just the right balance of textures and seasoning. It’s rare to find pasta that tastes this authentic and delicious outside of Italy, but you’ve absolutely nailed it.

The service was also impeccable - Cheena — attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. It’s clear that your team takes pride in what they do, and it truly shows in every aspect of the dining experience.
