El Greco is a Greek-inspired dine-in restaurant located at La Mer Central, near Roxy Cinemas. La Mer is a picturesque destination packed with restaurants serving various cuisines, a waterpark and free access to the beach. The ambiance at this restaurant resonates with a Greek restaurant on the beach with wonderful vibes. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
The star of the menu at El Greco is the Rotisserie Chicken which is marinated in Greek herbs and spices for 24 hours and then slow cooked in a custom-built rotisserie. They also serve wraps, gyros, kebabs and power bowls. Though this is a dine-in location, they have several delivery hubs across Dubai and very soon in Sharjah.
We were here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and we chose to sit outdoors. It was a little hot, but we found a table in the shade and it was quite ok. We tried the famous 24 hr marinated and slow cooked Chicken Rotisserie, served on a pita bread with tzatziki, a red spicy sauce, sweet potato fries and a small salad with olives and feta cheese. One can opt for a full or a half rotisserie chicken. We went with the latter. The skin was crispy and the chicken was so soft, and tender. It was so flavourful that I had it even without the side dips. The sweet potato fries were salty in the right way and delicious. The salad was really good too. We also ordered a Chicken Souvlaki Kebab platter which includes two kebab skewers, one veg. skewer, pita bread, tzatziki, red spicy sauce and sweet potato fries. The kebabs were too dry and just average but the dips and the fries were amazing.
For drinks, we had a Mango Smoothie and a Peach Iced Tea. The smoothie was yum and I wanted more!!
Overall, it is a great place to dine with a lovely ambience and I definitely recommend the rotisserie chicken and the...
Read moreToday we are craving for some greek food. And luckily we saw El Greco somewhere in Jumeirah, this place can be seen easily along Jumeirah Road.
The place is a bit small but maybe because they have more delivery orders rather than dining.
Their staff welcomed us, and ask what do we want to have, then the Head Chef went out and told us some of their specials. Chef Nil was the guy! He’s the man! Very nice person who doesn’t get tired of explaining some of their dishes and he told us to go for some Pita wraps which is their specialty.
We ordered their Chicken Pita Wrap and their Beef Pita wrap. The wraps were perfect, meat were juicy plus they can adjust if you want spicy or normal.
We also ordered their fresh chicken stuff. It was perfectly cooked and you can taste the perfect balance of herbs and meat. Very well marinated and you’ll know that it was slow cooked.
Their greek salad was nice, vegetables were fresh but the secret is in the sauce! Yum!
Dessert lover, they also have crunchy fried doughnut balls with 2 choices of dips, honey or nuttella! So nice!
Overall we recommend El greco for those who loves “Greekish” food. Try ‘em and you will not stop ordering. 😊😊

Read moreOur experience at lunch yesterday was very average. We were 10 of us and even before placing the order we were told that restaurant is busy everything will take a long time. A lot of starters at 1:30 pm were already not available I.e. the elgrecco bites and mixed bites. The service was very slow and poor. The food came after 40 minutes and even then half the order did not arrive. The chicken gyro and lamb gyro meals came without the French fries. After reminding them it was meals that we had ordered the French fries came 15 minutes later after we had finished our wraps. The grilled vegetables and the grilled chicken souvlaki came after 4 reminders and after the rest of us had finished our meals. The quality of food could improve. The water melon salad and veg wrap were good. The fried calamari was frozen calamari deep fried rubbery and no flavor. The chicken souvlaki was very dry and no flavor and was completely wasted. The loukoumades with honey were lacking in the honey sauce so tasted of fried dough, the Nutella ones were tasty.overall they were not equipped to handle a big table and very...
