I recently went to Hafiz Mustafa Turkish in Dubai Mall, drawn in by their highly recommended baklava with ice cream. While the dessert itself was undeniably amazing, I couldn't overlook a few aspects that left me slightly dissatisfied.

Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that truly satisfied my sweet tooth. I must admit, this treat alone is reason enough to visit Hafiz Mustafa.

AS PER COMPANY RESPONSE PRODUCTS EXPIRE IN 3 DAYS NOT 5 DAYS...

For all those tourists getting this baklava - you cannot take this baklava out of Dubai unless it is in your hand luggage, it won’t survive fridge temperatures, hold luggage is way below this temperature and therefore this product will go bad at that temperature. Also strictly 5 days otherwise it will go bad, the don’t date the box and then act surprised when the 5 days is over. No best before date. Notice they don't date how long the baklava has been sitting outside or stick any best before label on your box, how hard to stick a label on the box with care instructions? For the price don’t risk it.

The shelf life is 5 days, well we were told it’s actually 10 days, 5 days in the shop shelf and 5 days after your purchase – but cannot be stored in the fridge. Ali subsequently denied he told us this.

As a background I was given some Baklava from this famous store. Unfortunately when we tried it 3 days after receiving it had gone bad. It was stored in our airing cupboard.

We went to the store and spoke to a very nice manager Mr Hassan, very respectable. He confirmed it was bad but said it was still edible. Mr Hassan spoke to his senior manager who didn’t care for the customers. We had the photo of the receipt and a copy of the bank transaction as it was a gift we did not have the physical receipt.

Apparently according to them it was stored in the fridge (it wasn’t) and for some bizarre reason they thought we were lying, maybe they have had this issue before and it’s the standard reason they use.

Nice people – but poor product.

Apparently I did not provide proof that I was busy, can't make this stuff up. what a joke of a company. - POOR COMPANY MANAGEMENT EXPECT PROOF THAT PEOPLE ARE BUSY.
