I have a favorable opinion of this food outlet in general, as i like many of their food items and flavor mixes , However, there are many areas that needs improvement I find dining in at this establishment to be a better experience than delivery . Rashidiya outlet for delivery is subpar and of really low standards and bad quality/portion in comparison to other outlets falls far below standards and disappoints 9 out of 10 times ( sandwiches , burgers and salad ) On the other hand, for delivery the Business Bay outlet have higher chances of delivering better quality food all subject to the circumstances as it suffers a lot with inconsistency , possibly due to lack of training or quick employee turnover as i see different people when i visit, and the lack of experience can be sensed at times with the orders preparation. Despite the disappointments, I appreciate that this place offers fair value for money, as prices are reasonably cheap. I’ve noticed that they can be quite stingy with chicken in their sandwiches at times, where you get a few bites without protein.
Regrettably, not all ingredients are consistently included in my orders. There’s no apology when this happens; they simply use whatever is available and send it , The attached photo shows a smaller portion of salad than usual, and it lacks the cheese mentioned on the menu that usually always comes with it ( i had times where i received it without avocado ) Although the mexican salad, when occasionally prepared up to standards is of really good flavor, the chicken added is super tasty , ingredients and dressing as well, u can see in the below photo that the portion does not fill a quarter of the container , which happens frequently . Read moreFirstly I would like to say the staff are not trained properly. When I asked questions about the menu, members of staff took a long time answering questions and were confused. Moreover, there are too many delivery riders waiting on their orders because the backlog of orders is high, therefore indicating that there is a lack of efficency within the place. It is really unfortunate for dine in customers to experience frustrations from delivery riders waiting for more than 20- 30 minutes for there order. I personally had a simple order which took a long time. I ordered a burger meal. My order number was not called, I had to personally go up to the receive here counter to pick up my order because I saw my meal being put to the side and ignored. Then only the member of staff gave me the order. Furthermore, some fries were dropped and for replacement they only put a bit more fries. Indicating the staff are not trained properly and are not professional. Additionally, I had requested for tomatoes to be not on my burger, however there were tomatoes on my burger. I ordered from Malak Al Tawouk via Talabat on June 26. After eating the chicken wraps that evening, I woke up the next morning with severe food poisoning — nonstop vomiting, diarrhea, full-body pain, and extreme fatigue. I had to be hospitalized urgently and stayed under treatment for hours. The hospital bill alone cost me AED 1,260, and I was prescribed 3 medications.
Due to the financial burden, I could only afford 2 of them (AED 161) and couldn’t buy the third one (AED 529) because I had spent everything I had on emergency care. I spent an entire day bedridden, unable to eat or drink without vomiting.
It’s been 4 days since this terrifying and painful experience, and nobody from the restaurant has reached out to check on my condition or even apologize. The silence is beyond disappointing — it’s irresponsible and unacceptable.
This incident has caused me significant physical, emotional, and financial damage, and I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. I hope no one else has to go...
