Its really nice place to enjoy a wonderful dinner. Personally ll recommend ppl to go, its not every where. As we know most of place with high price, thats for atmosphere, not food itself. So you pay for the environment. By accidentally, I ve read a review post by a guy don't know from which nationality said very bad words to all the chinese! HENCI BENCI a month ago We were very excited to dine in this restaurant again, having our best gourmet experience for 5 years ago. The place is beautiful with the underwater feeling with the big aquarium in the middle. The service was OK but the lever of how the waiters treated us was much more unprofessional than what we experienced last time. Some of them were missing basic knowledges and style. The most chocking at this place were the guest around us, they came from China and had no manner at table what so ever. One of them took of her shoes pulled up her foot, scratched it while eating the bread. Her foot was rather disgusting, dirty with a lot of old skin. Brrr!!! Other guest around had a bad attire coming directly from daily site seeing completely ignoring the dress code, they were noise with constantly beeping mobile phones. Quite a choking experience to be honest. We will never come back again! For what you get is highly overpriced!!
So this decent guy( who think he is apparently) wrote this few month ago. Hey dude,If you see this msg, DO delete what you wrote. Its not nice at all. There are good and bad everywhere, I don't think your country is full of decent ppl. Maybe also including you who dare to say this in the public. By the way, chinese is everywhere. If you don't wanna see them, better lock your self in the house and eat the wall everyday. Don't you know all the nationalities have some reputations. So I guess you know which category you ll get from where you from. Hopefully the god ll bless you after seen what's came from your mouth. And don't talk when your...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for our anniversary and it was everything we expected. We had the tasting menu and the food was beautiful in both taste and presentation. The staff incredible and the lovely server we had was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone incredibly friendly and polite and the ambiance was relaxed. The highlight for me without doubt was the chilled asparagus soup with smoked mackerel. I could have happily devoured a whole cauldron to myself and come back for more. The lobster cocktail came a very close second but in reality there wasn't a single thing on the menu that I didn't enjoy. I was so full at the end that , sadly, I couldn't finish the desert of dark chocolate and banoffee cheesecake with lime ice cream so when we were presented with an anniversary cake, a rose and a card courtesy of the restaurant there was no hope of even tasing it which I will regret for a very long time to come. The little touches of rose petals, soft lighting and beautiful music only added to a memorable experience.
The seating plan seems well thought out with 2 seater tables at the front and the larger tables staggered so everyone has a perfect view of the aquarium which is fantastic.
At the end of the evening we were asked if we'd like to meet the chef which we said we would but in retrospect decided against as it must awful having to pull away from the kitchen to greet excited diners , probably several times a day, so we slipped out happy, full and contented. Last year we went to Nathan's place in Port Isaac to celebrate so obviously we compared, is Dubai as good? well in some respects it's better but there's not many venues that can hope to compare to the amazing Burj Al Arab but foodwise i'd be hard pushed to separate them.
I loved the whole experience from the moment we arrived to the...
