I got disappointed by this place. Avocados were not fresh, but the main issue is they tried to charge you at a higher price. More specifically, I ordered a SF Breakfast worth AED 49. The menu does not precise whether it is excluding or including taxes. When I requested the check, it mentioned AED 62. Why? Let's consider a small 5% tax, AED 62 is still too high. They finally made me pay AED 52. Of course, there is not a big difference between AED 49 and AED 52. However, the principle of overcharging people is disappointing, dishonest and wrong.
PS: The owner is lying, this AED 49 breakfast includes a drink such as an orange juice. The waiter never told me it was extra, otherwise I would have either accepted or said no. Very nasty place, I don't recommend anybody...
Read moreIt's a small homegrown bistro. We ordered their hainan chicken rice - portion was good but would have preferred the sweet soy sauce (kecap manis). The rice seemed too sticky, almost like the consistency of Thai sticky mango rice.
We also ordered the ebi fry - which was overpriced for the portion. 45AED for 6/8(?) pieces of tiny battered shrimp without rice.
The staff though was accommodating and friendly even if we came quite late to have a meal. They even surprised us with cut watermelon slices for dessert on the house.
If anything, there were too many items on the menu for its size. Maybe the management can consider reviewing the menu to focus their efforts on a single cuisine rather than to have an overwhelmingly diverse selection...
Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant, hoping for authentic Singaporean flavours, but was unfortunately disappointed. The Cereal Prawns were a major letdown—far from the crispy, flavourful dish I’m familiar with. Instead, they resembled Typhoon Shelter-style fried shrimp rather than the classic Singaporean version. The Black Pepper Crab was equally disappointing, lacking the rich, fresh crab flavour I expected. The Tom Yum soup was overly salty, and the Peking Duck had an unpleasantly fishy taste, with the meat being both burnt and unappetising. If you're seeking true Singaporean or Malaysian cuisine, this restaurant may not meet your expectations. I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you’re accustomed to the authentic flavours from...
