My second visit here only solidified what I already knew: this restaurant isn’t just a dining spot—it’s an experience to be cherished, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Let’s start with the star of the evening: the Iftar buffet. A feast for the senses, the spread was nothing short of spectacular. From succulent grilled meats marinated in aromatic spices to vibrant, freshly prepared mezze that danced on the palate, every dish told a story of passion and tradition. The hummus was velvety perfection, the falafel crisp yet tender, and the desserts? A symphony of sweetness, with baklava so flaky it practically melted on the tongue. The buffet’s variety catered to every craving, making it impossible not to return for seconds (or thirds!).

But what truly elevates Open Sesame from great to extraordinary is its people—specifically, the exceptional Aziz. From the moment I walked in, his professionalism and genuine warmth set the tone for the evening. Attentive without being intrusive, Aziz anticipated every need with a smile, ensuring my dining experience was seamless. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering thoughtful recommendations that highlighted hidden gems of the buffet. It’s rare to encounter someone who balances courtesy, efficiency, and heartfelt hospitality so effortlessly, but Aziz does it like a maestro. His dedication turned a lovely meal into a memory I’ll treasure.

The ambiance, too, deserves applause. The inviting decor, with its blend of modern elegance and cultural charm, creates a welcoming space perfect for both intimate gatherings and lively family celebrations. Coupled with the soothing background melodies, it’s a sanctuary where time slows down, letting you savor every moment.

Open Sesame Restaurant – Interiors will grip you!

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. First of all, the Hotel Indigo, within which the restaurant has been located, is beautiful. It is a fairly new property and is yet to be explored but the location, interiors and everything is worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Secondly, as mentioned in my title, the interiors will take your breath away. Its been set up with a very urban chic feel to it. This seeps through to the restaurant too. Its long hallway with a high ceiling and beautiful wall murals will take your breath away. And I haven't even started on the food yet! The restaurant had fewer bookings on the day, therefore they didn't have the buffet system open. Instead they served us every dish on our table directly - just like royalties! It was a 3 course meal with all the items from the buffet, only we got a private royalty service from the staff. It was an arabic cuisine with a hint of biryani to give it an asian touch. The flavours of the salads to the main course to the dessert were amazing. Very authentic arabic cuisine and light on the stomach. Have to mention the Umm Ali, which was particularly fantastic. One of the best Umm Ali's that I have tasted in Dubai. Lastly, the staff was absolutely brilliant. I, unfortunately, cannot recall their names but there was an Indian and another Egyptian gentleman who made our Iftar fun and pleasant. Thank you guys! I have to mention the outdoor seating of this restaurant has a waterfall on a larger than life mural and they serve shisha there too. Ever had an iftar in a souk ? Well now you can only at the Open Sesame located at the @indigodubai

As soon as you arrive you will be greeted by their charming hosts who will guide you to your table with a souk map where you can get a view of what’s been served where .. after which you can explore and enjoy your time immersing yourself in this middle eastern inspired beautiful space.

The ambience is so beautiful with lots of beautiful artifacts, paintings & glowing lamps everywhere, I couldn’t stop appreciating their beautifully decorated space.

Getting to the food, one of the best tasting food at an Iftar I have visited in dubai , the perfect spread, lots of cold messe, hot messe , a station where you can enjoy some hot grilled kebabs, a pasta station with a wheel of cheese , and endless dessert options.

A perfect place to enjoy a lovely Iftar with family & friends ! You can end your meal with a hot cup of Arabic tea with some love Turkish delights & ice creams. My favorite was the date and Arabic coffee ice cream 😍 A definitely must have 🥰
