Cons: Only constuctive comment is the bath-tub/shower slippery and high. I have an elderly with me and it's high and slippery. We were short as well, the racks and shower holder too high for us.
Pros: Right next to Dubai Mall, very very convenient, clean, hall way smells fresh and you can already smell it before you enter the lobby. Stayed there for 4 nights and everynight we arrive, our room was clean and fresh, thanks to House-Keeping Team - Calanasan, Sachini & Nazeer for making our room pleasant to rest after a full day of activities, they even added a special touch of art work on our bed which surprised us. Special thanks to Morris too from the reception who welcomed us very warmly and helped us with all our needs and questions on how to go around Dubai. Thank you Nicholas from concierge too helping us sort changes to our airport-hotel transport. Thank you to our driver (sorry I forgot his name) as well who drove us safely to and from the airport. Driving in Dubai was insane but he was calm and felt safe in the manner he drove us. Thanks to Khin going beyond expectation for the breakfast service, there was a wait ordering waffle and so I opted to order the following day due to our tight sched, but i was surprised she just delivered it to our table after a few minutes, she made it possible! Thanks to Vinay and Brenda too for serving our dinner always with a smile. And last but no the least, many many thanks to Iris for being patient with us (our requests, etc) serving our daily dinner, always smiling and professional, you made our dining experience in your hotel memorable. The dinner servings were too big for us (we're Asians) that we needed to share instead of wasting them. The grilled sea bass, salmon and tenderloin were very delicious too, thanks to the chef. Our tummies were literally full and hearts filled with pleasant memories due to the service...
Read moreMy family and I recently stayed at this hotel for two weeks in mid-June 2025. While the hotel's location is undoubtedly convenient and the breakfast restaurant staff, particularly Michelle, were consistently friendly and provided excellent service, our overall experience was significantly marred by instances of dishonesty from other team members.
The first issue arose before our arrival. We specifically requested a baby high chair to be placed in our room, as we were traveling with an infant. The Guest Service representative explicitly informed us via email that this was not possible, stating the hotel possessed only "ONE high chair" exclusively designated for the restaurant. To our surprise, upon dining in the restaurant, we observed not just one, but several high chairs readily available for use. This clear contradiction was both disappointing and misleading.
A second incident involving in-room dining further highlighted concerns regarding staff integrity. Upon delivery of our meal, the staff member presented the credit card machine directly for payment, without providing an itemized bill. Subsequently, when we requested a copy of the bill from the restaurant cashier at the lobby, we discovered an unauthorized charge of AED 15 had been added as a "tip" without our consent.
These two occurrences are significant concerns. While we appreciated the location and the excellent service from some staff, the lack of transparency and apparent dishonesty from others is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. We hope these issues are addressed to ensure a more consistent and trustworthy experience for...
Read moreI was welcomed very nicely by the receptionist and was given an apartment instead of a deluxe room. It was appreciated however was not informed that that would have implied a very low floor, which in Dubai makes all the difference. During my stay, I was never restocked on water, which on a hotel based in a non drinkable tub water place, you would expect this to be complimentary. However I bought my own, so no issues there. Also, I had to remind twice to change my towels in the room, for which I was only restocked on the shower ones (which funny enough were not the ones I placed on the floor!) On the evening of my second day, one of my suppliers (as I was in Dubai for business purposes) brought to me a bag full of interior design samples, which I asked to come to my room for reviewing them, meeting that took 20 to max 30 mins all together. We were asked to register at the counter, which I thought was really strange as I understand there might be local security rules etc, but discretion was given to some locals that were also entering and going next to us, and to us being europeans, we sort of felt like this was anti discretionary on our regards, and definitely something that in Switzerland we would not be accostumed to.
Beside these points, I cannot deny that the position is really good but next to the same hotels there are many other options with same price range but better amenities, I think I will still consider this hotel for future short stays, they just need to make the "Mövenpick" Swiss approach more consistent and...
