Cafe Society — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Myself and several friends booked this cafe today from 9.30 till 12. We didnt all arrive at once, the manager kept eyeing us at the large put together tables ( 4 square tables in a row) when there was only a few of us, it was quite uncomfortable, we all arrived eventually but those of us there first had immediately ordered their drinks, food etc. The food was absolutely lovely and reasonably priced. The staff were great, really helpful and friendly. My problem is the owner/ manager, he kept trying to separate our tables and take away the end table to use while we were still eating, drinking, keep in mind we had reserved and there were 8 of us. At around 10 to 12 we began getting ready to leave, a few moved on to a smaller table and stayed to chat on. It was a lovely morning marred by feeling like we were unwelcome to use this amount of space even though we had reserved the entire 8 seats, we certainly spent a ton of money between us all !!. I cannot speak for the rest of the group but I will certainly not return. A shame considering it was such a lovely setting with good food. Owners/managers take heed, leave your customers that have reserved alone or lose them. EDIT further to the owners reply and refusal to acknowledge all aspects of my review, he will certainly never have to concern himself with any more "unfairness" as our group will not...

So disappointed with this cafe. I used to go here for takeaway coffee and hot chocolates, but today 14/11/2024 around 11:58 I went to this cafe and decided to sit in and ordered a big breakfast and latte. There was 4 tables with customs at this time. And there were three ladies behind the bar, so my breakfast arrived and it looked good to look at and that's all it was. Everything was so cold and smelled pre cooked at least few hours ago, it wasn't even warm, bacon really chewy and hard, Hash browns were soaked in so much oil, really cheap blackpudding or just very old stock. I didn't even ate the breakfast, just had my latte and 2 toast, so I was there for 30 minutes, but the three girls behind the bar were so busy having their personal chat (loud enough for us to hear) that they didnt even came out to any tables to ask how was the food. I have attached the photo of my very cold and not finished breakfast I left, so please if the management does care in anyway you should concentrate and make fee changes to these things. I previously gave this place 5 stars. I used to visit here at least once a week. Any visitors I had to aberdeen I used to take here, however I went in for breakfast one day and got in at 11:02 am. It was armed forces day and a nightmare to park otherwise I would've been there about 20 minutes earlier. I asked for a breakfast roll with bacon sausage and egg. I was told that it was after 11am and therefore I would not be served an egg. I, like the other people in my group were a bit surprised at the answer. I was a regular in this cafe and to me this was a cataclysmic failure in customer service. I was 2 minutes past the cut off. I explained that I thought this was incredibly poor customer service. I would have thought having a business is about being accommodating (within reason) and this was an incredibly poor show by the staff.
