What happened to this place?! This used to be my favourite place in Aberdeen, been coming here for years. There used to be amazing food, staff and events. Second time in a row,my order got messed up,which I don’t really understand-how can you possibly mess up a double espresso,it’s the easiest order to make! Every time I come here, there’s new staff here, and have to say, very unprofessional. Chatting between each other, rather than cleaning the tables (there’s always dirty tables around!) or serving customers and is it absolutely necessary to touch your hair when you are handling food? What happened here, there used to be beautiful raw cakes and Sunday pancakes and sugarfree options? Now - pastry and cakes that taste the same-of coconut. I understand that coconut oil is a good vegan replacement for butter, but even the chocolate frosting taste of coconut. Read moreI really didn't want to like Foodstory. I've managed to avoid it since it opened and had no intention of visiting. It's a veggie restaurant, I'm not a veggie.

Our group ordered Thai curry, salad and I had the falafel and mango flatbread with superfood salad.
I'm not going to review each bite but the food was stunning. The flatbread alone would have been sufficient but the salad was amazing. Fresh, full of flavour and very filling.
Lunch was £30 for 3 with coffees and...
Read moreGot voucher for this Cafe as a gift and was excited to try the Vegan Experience. Went to Foodstory 11am Tuesday 26th. There were a number of people in the place but found a spare table - the only one left in the place that did not have uncleared plates of food. Went to the till to order and was completely ignored but two members of staff that were chatting with friends infront of the paypoint. The only person that appeared to be doing any work at all was a chap making coffee. The 2 chatty staff then proceeded to serve their friends whilst continuing to ignore the fact that we were stading waiting to make an order. Did we complain? .. In short No as food looked less than appealing so we left and have gifted the voucher to someone we don't really like.
Certainly won't be darkening the doors of the this disorganised overpriced...
