I have eaten at this restaurant several times in the last month since I moved nearby. I was hoping that it would be my go to place for lunch and coffee in my new neighbourhood. I also prefer spending my money in local businesses instead of chains. The food has consistently been excellent. The service has never been that friendly but I was willing to overlook that until my experience today. The customer service needs a lot of improvement before I will go back. Today I joined a friend for lunch. We both had meals and drinks. She was charging her mobile while we ate. One of the staff members came by and turned off the outlet without saying anything to us. We just assumed that she didn’t realise that my friend’s mobile was charging in it so my friend switched the power back on. Then another woman came out from the kitchen and pulled out the plug and abruptly said that is enough charging for you or I think that you’ve charged enough. What about smiling and saying hello, asking us how our meals were or asking whether we needed anything else? Having good food is not enough these days. There is too much competition. Customers should be treated with respect. If there is a rule in the restaurant that you can’t charge your mobiles, perhaps you should have a sign somewhere that states your policy. You could have also simply requested politely that she not charge her mobile. You do have a sign promoting free WiFi so I would assume that people may need to charge their mobiles and laptops if they are using them while visiting your business. I could understand if we weren’t spending any money on food or hanging out all day but we were there for an hour having lunch. I wish that you had realised your mistake and simply apologised to us. I hope that this review encourages you to improve your communication and your customer service so that your business thrives and is more than just a place that...
Read moreFood was average, service was abysmal. Woman behind the counter was fine, however the self entitled “chef” (and I use the term chef very loosely), had a serious attitude problem. This “chef” was unable to remove 1 sauce from a sandwich. Going by her culinary skills it’s evident she hasn’t had any professional training, however, I thought even a woman of her intelligence could handle removing 1 sauce from a sandwich, I was obviously incorrect. Could then hear this woman try and justify herself to her colleagues in the kitchen, evidently showing she required justification from her colleagues as she knew herself her inability to remove 1 sauce was ridiculous and pathetic. I advise going elsewhere in Aberdeen as there are several other cafes serving better food and giving...
Read moreI ordered from here today after only hearing good things about their food, we ordered over the phone to be picked up later. I walked into the shop & there was a que, I noticed a place to stand for orders that had already been placed, the girl behind the counter was sullen & rude, never once said hello or sorry for your wait, she then shouted out my name & asked card or cash, I said card, she set the machine & walked off & never even offered a receipt. I certainly won't be returning as she was one of the rudest people I have ever met & she certainly hasn't the personality to be dealing with the public. I have just read other reviews & spoke to someone else who was in earlier today was treated...
